In advance of the release of Kno of CunninLynguists‘ solo debut album Death Is Silent, we will be doing a series of blog posts profiling artists featured on the record that QN5 fans may not be completely familiar with. Next up is Lexington, KY’s own Nemo Achida.

After being introduced by mutual friend and purveyor of all things Kentucky hip-hop, DJ Mykraphone Mike, Nemo and Kno initially discussed the possibilities of including Nemo’s now defunct US Band on a few CunninLynguists’ dates in 2007 and 2008. While this ultimately didn’t come to pass, the two kept in touch with Kno eventually approaching Nemo about a guest spot on the Death Is Silent album cut “Loneliness”.

The pair are currently working on an untitled EP due to be released in early 2011.
