ok so im not shure what people’s feeling are about still buying this cd. but i bought it last night. and its is really really good. however its funny that they had enough money to clear the bob james sample.

The issue wasn’t money, a sample used in my track was too obscure and they couldn’t find the publisher. Instead of just saying fuck it and mashing on with it, the label dropped it last minute. Understandable.

Their manager jokingly told me Swizz “killed him” with the Mardi Gras sample, so I assumed the joint wouldn’t be on there but it was. They probably gave up all the publishing credit, no big deal since this was more of a buzz project.

Guess I need to sample some Bob.

let me know which records you need of his ( unless you did like i did and purchased the whole catalog at pops ) hahaha big stuff all the same homie!… btw who knew matt ryan was that dude

and of course the record vulture was sure it was Lalo and i agreed i guess we were both wrong.
