YESSS! Set your DVR’s, folks! We’ve just gotten word that Kokayi’s “RoxTar” video AIRS TONIGHT on MTV2’s ‘Subterannean’ (@ 5 AM ET /2 AM PT).

For those unaware, “Subterannean” used to be a show called 120 Minutes back in the 90’s and is THE staple mtv2 show highlighting what’s buzzing in the underground music scene weekly; and as they like to say ‘focusing on tomorrow’s superstars before the masses does’. And boy are they not kidding, with this airing, Koke joins the likes of Radiohead, M.I.A., Beck, Arcade Fire, Gnarls Barkley and so many more. “Prestige” just barely describes it. Why is this a big deal? Because this is an alternative rock/indie show and it’s rare that Hip Hop is showcased here. It goes to show Kokayi’s effortless genre-melting has legs and will travel.

So, now that you’re up to speed, be sure to set your DVRs (or drink mad redbulls and stay up with us to celebrate) to MTV2 (@ 5 AM ET /2 AM PT) to record another piece of QN5 history being made. Check your local listings. All together now: “QN5, BITCHES!”.
