Twitter is basically, an elaborate form of presenting “Status Updates” to a network of people either ON or OFF the internet. Messages can be sent via cellphone SMS or widgets as well. They call it “microblogging”, because you’re only allowed 140 characters per “message”. It allows people to hit you with updates alot quicker.
