Where Brooklyn at???
Well this year BK and NY was definitely in the building as far as the line up goes (Ghostface, Sean Price, Consequence, Large Pro etc.), but I still wanted to be a part of it. So I urged the QN5 fans to email the committee at Brooklyn Bodega and let them know there is a demand to see PackFM perform. After about a month I still hadn’t gotten a response so I just figured they was frontin on me and I made plans to fly out to LA and handle some business for that weekend. One day I randomly decided to check an old email account that I abandoned due to the amount of spam it got. As I’m combing through pages of spam, what do I come across? An email from Mid-May from my homie Alma G of Room Service, requesting a performance from lil ol’ me at the BKHF (She told me that your emails played a role in that, good work guys!). Since the email was about a month old and they’d filled most of the performance slots it took a lot of maneuvering to fit me into the schedule, but we made it happen and I rescheduled my appointments and cancelled my flight.
So the whole week leading up to the festival I’m all hyped to get my chance to represent for my borough, plus I’m still riding off the high from rocking that crowd at the Hultsfred Festival in Sweden. All that came crashing down when I found out my time slot. I’d be going on at 1:30pm which is a shitty slot for a festival that starts at 12 and ends at 8pm. All I kept thinking was "I cancelled a trip to LA to go on 3rd??".
Eventually I got over it and decided to just rock it like any other show. I mean hell, we went on 11am when we did Lollapalooza. Even though I was rocking the breakfast spot, there was still a nice lil crowd of maybe 800-1000 people all around, even though there would be about 10x as many people there by the day’s end.

Started the show off strong with "Great God", made sure the peoples hands were in the air off the bat!

After a few more crowd friendly songs and an acapella, we got into "Ruthless" w/ Tonedeff. People love the classic "back/forth" routine.
"STOMP" can only be performed from one place…right in the middle of the crowd!

With Mr.Mecca and my homie G Money holding me down (no homo)..time to hit the crowd and meet the people.

Meanwhile Tonedeff gets his networking on with Sucio Smash of WKCR

Ok people… BUY MY SH*T!!!
Shout’s to Tonedeff, Mr. Mecca, G Money, Poison Pen, Pumpkinhead, J Arch, Bamm, Superstar Billy Grahm, Fresh Daily, Lola, Grafh, Big True, Mr. Metaphor, Amber, Exile and all the other homies who came thru and made it a family affair!
