[RELEASE] Brooklyn Academy - “Bored of Education” [LP]
Brooklyn Academy – “The Growler” [Produced By Marco Polo]
In case you didn’t know, one of Brooklyn’s unsung underground super-groups, Brooklyn Academy has returned full forced with their first official album, Bored of Education. This just dropped on September 2nd and we definitely want to make sure these QN5-affiliates (by way of The Plague) get their proper shine on.
After stomping on the national underground scene years ago with multiple 12″ singles and freestyles, these guys have finally put their talents together for one definitive album project. Each has multiple solo projects, tours and singles to their credit, but their chemistry on record is undeniable.
With Pumpkinhead’s bullying-flow, Block McCloud’s melodically raspy rhyme schemes and Mr. Metaphor’s droning wordplay, this is a record for fans of emceeing in its purest form. No club records, no pop raps – just 100% non-stop ‘slap you in the face’ lyricism and thorough production handled by the likes of Marco Polo & Black Milk, as well as guest appearances by Jean Grae, Killa Priest & Ill Bill. It’s available now @ www.myspace.com/brooklynac
Enjoy!
