Kokayi is an unreasonably talented man. Singer, Songwriter, Designer, – a renaissance hip hopper very much of the QN5 ilk. With his new instrumental album8bit Ubermentals, Kokayi showcases the his production talents, combing through 8 years worth sample disks to select his favorite creations. This FREE DOWNLOAD was created especially as a thank you for the fans who copped his 2010’s Robots & Dinosaurs.

“I dug through songs that I made on my first workstation..the trusty Roland W-30, in all of it’s 8 bit glory and 23 seconds of sampling time,” Kokayi states regarding the creation of this impromptu project. “These tracks were made between 1995-2003, when my original W-30 died and I was forced to use software to create. This is only a sample (no pun intended) of the over 1,000 tracks that were made using that machine.”
