[UPDATE] Upcoming Happenings @ QN5

So I’m fairly certain I have a mild form of vertigo happening in my left ear right now. It’s not gully enough to keep me from focusing on this screen at the moment, but walking a straight line is already a chore. Wish me luck tomorrow at the doc. I’m literally typing with my head tilted right now. Fuck.

In the meantime, I just wanted to give folks a heads up on a few things happening round here at QN5.

MR. SOS WEEK KICKS OFF 4/20

We couldn’t think of a more appropriate date to kick off Mr. SOS first promotional push for the release of his forthcoming debut album. The album is right around the corner and we have much to divulge, premiere and discuss regarding the cat who is certainly one of QN5’s most under-appreciated talents. The album is fantasmical and we just want to make sure that everyone is fully aware of the project and how to get it before it drops this spring.

CATM – ‘Work For It’ Notes

Kno & I are definitely happy to see a flurry of activity on the CATM forum. I just want people to know that there IS a point to what we’re doing with this, so your involvement is key.

Also, please note that there is NO release date for the project set. There seems to be some confusion over a comment Kno made last year regarding the release date. He was misquoted as saying “if the album wasn’t OUT by the summer it wasn’t going to happen” – he actually said “if the album isn’t DONE by the summer” – big difference folks. Just know that you will see the album this year and keep ‘working for it’.

PackFM & Domingo Progress

Pack’s “I Fucking Hate Rappers” shirts are officially on the market, and he’s already started a mini-twitter meme with his #IFHR buzz. I know y’all got a taste of the record with that exclusive video he dropped, but there’s certainly much more in store to wet your appetites before the album drops. We’re still on target for a Spring/Summer release.

As it stands, Domingo’s mixing. So, if your hunger for the record makes you grow impatient, we encourage you to drop Domingo a line at his myspace page to let him know that you’re amped for the project.

Substantially Overwhelming

Sub’s currently in Europe on the Strange Journey European Tour with CunninLynguists, but he’s been steady writing for multiple projects. Following ‘Mr. SOS Week’ you’ll be hearing more regarding Substantial’s killer new project with Burns (producer of Sub’s “Let It Go” from Sacrifice). We’re also pushing the video for “My Favorite Things” to the networks, so we might have a second QN5-video hitting the airwaves soon. Hopefully without any ‘Mallory’ debacles this time around.

A ‘Pre-Spicasso’ Session Project

I know Session announcements have become a bit of a joke at this point – and every time I announce something, life gets in the way and things get re-arranged, but this time…this is the plan and we’re sticking to it. You’re going to see an announcement for an entirely new full-length Session project (pre-Spicasso) next month.

There will be a lead single and a ridiculously wild way for you to pick up a copy of this full-length in person (New York City only) this spring. What I’m hinting at is next-next-next level, y’all. He’s basically poured his entire life into this concept for the past couple years, so I’m counting on y’all to show love when we give you the word, because I really wanna see the kid succeed. You’ll learn more next month.

In Closing

That’s all I can divulge for right now, but best believe there’s about 70% more than that happening that I can’t talk about just yet, because news for y’all only holds up for 5 minutes before you forget about it. ahah I hope y’all see that QN5 will be giving you more than your money’s worth in Q009, so long as you continue to show your support. Remember, actions speak louder than posts. Until next time, folks.

Hollerate,
Tilted-Tone
