We wanted to thank y’all for coming out on a rainy Friday night for another night of craziness at the QN5 CMJ Showcase. We pulled out some newness (ie. “WWKYA Tour”) to make it interesting, and once again upped the technological ante with a live web-video stream and a twitter feed (just pointing that out so you can see who did it first after every rap group rips us off). Here are a couple clips from the show you might enjoy, including a fresh off-the-top cypher between PackFM, Homeboy Sandman, iCON The Mic King, Mr. SOS and Mr. Mecca. With Kokayi putting on a clinic, SOS raking his soul over hot coals, Substantial waxing poetic on life, PackFM stomping potholes, and Tonedeff throwing the kitchen sink at folks – it was a memorable night for us.
