Also I squee’d when I saw Homeboy Sandman.

Not feeling this guy or the song. Dude couldn’t be a bigger poser himself if he tried. Nothing original here. Move on

about as far from wtvr ‘the new hiphop’ is as i could imagine.

I really don’t think an American with an anarchist symbol tatted on his neck is in strong position to call anyone out on being a poser.

But who knows, maybe the guy lives in a commune and his other songs are about his lifelong heros Tolstoy and Emma Goldman.

i dont quite get this dude… but this is the first of his songs i enjoyed. Nice flow!

It’s ridiculous to me that people are hating on him. Have y’all heard The Human Experience? Or the rooftop series he did which is on youtube… those blew me away. Many is brilliant and his delivery is incredible to watch live. I don’t remember hearing this hate after his Megashow performance? He’s cool.

And it’s hilarious to call him a poser, but I follow him on Twitter and facebook so I read his personal thoughts and opinions, which probably changes how I view even this video. There are very few “scenes” he fits into. A lot of QN5 fans like him for many of the same reasons they like QN5.

If you don’t like him you don’t like him, but I am just surprised that the majority response is negative…

i see some Posers hatin. obviously if you aint feeling the message the song must be about you. cant wait for that SIN album!!! i Am Many will body your favorite rapper, dont be mad.

I mean, I didn’t dig this song, but that wont stop me from checking out his other shit. I’ll judge from there.

I usually dig Many’s tracks, but sadly have to agree with the general consensus on this one.

The problem is that things never break surface level, and that can make or break a song that is meant to be written from a position of truth. Most of the personas / stereotypes / strawmen that are conjured (for the purposes of being torn down) are flimsy, one-dimensional, easy targets. It doesn’t feel like an effective exposure and dismantlement of hypocrisy; it feels like a series of cheap shots.

I disagree with most here. The stereotypes he “tears down” are maybe New York specific (?) and not that flimsy. I feel like everyone knows the guido or the Buddhist/Yoga chick or the broad with the big black glasses that probably doesn’t have a prescription or the rock dude who uses rock to have an excuse not to wash his hair.

I guess the video and song hit home with me more than the rest of y’all. Many is the man and will destroy all but a QN5 live show.

the first time i heard the song I thought it was meh.
