Shyt… I’ve been into hiphop since 81… I think one of the reasons people “hate” emcees, DJ’s or anyone associated with Hiphop is because they cant relate to that individual… if someone is like you, you will appreciate them, unless of course you hate yourself too.

Another reason is the humility/shit talk factor… Some people talk WAY out of their league and its sickening. They put that negativity out there and it is BOUND to return. Think about it. How many people in hiphop or fans of hiphop actually have ANYTHING negative to say about Rakim? Very few if any. But think about Jay-Z, Nas, 2-Pac, B.I.G., Hell even KRS-ONE… When you talk alot of shit, people grow a need to shut you up. Few hate Mos or Common… Think about the energy one puts out… it will return…

HAHA, Tone. I laughed out loud at that part, too. It is pretty lame that rap seems to be the music genre of “anyone can do it”.
