this is a fairly standard reaction

they don’t seem to understand that it’s a PEOPLE’S choice award

or that since Trees picked nominees based on sales, anyone who’s a UGHH customer is basically a valid voter

or that there’s nothing unethical about a label informing fans about a poll that could help promote one of their artist’s–it’s just doing its JOB

or that Wordsworth (eMC) and Immortal Technique, through features and mixtape cuts, are just as “present” in QN5 fan’s minds as Substantial was in the 6 years of independent work he put in with Nujabes and UV Ink prior to his official introduction to QN5 in 2007
