I was on the phone to ma babygirl and i told her about a song called ‘my lady’ - i wanted her to hear it so i said call me back once your done.

I didnt get a call back till 15 minutes later.

she felt compelled to type out the lyrics for the track. I had to post it up because its not available yet, but optimist is.

If anybody knows the missing words, please let us know.

Also, I just realized that I’m pretty sure it says “I feel the climate reach its highest peaks when she’s besides me” instead of “... she’s beside me.” But I’m not 100% on that.

Also, she likes this song but takes issue with this part—
“Sometimes I tell some teeny lies to feed her pride and sleep between her thighs.”

Although I think—
“My piece of mind is reached if I can keep her smilin’”
is the main point of that line.

She loves Optimist though.

At first listen, I liked Tone’s vocal approach a bit less than on No Hope—seemed to be a bit more monotone. But it’s really grown on me, and I the differences in delivery are understandable, and I think, appropriate. No Hope deals with anger, while My Lady deals with guilt and subtle fear. Definitely think it was done right.

It really is beautifully written. Very deep. Props Tone.

I’ve listened to this song like 20 times today, with intent on more. It’s too beautiful for words; the subject is tear-jerking, it pulls at the heart strings with both the lyrics and the ambient instrumental that perfectly sets the mood.

references to ‘waterfalls’ and ‘tides’ just go hand in hand with ure lady while sitting somewhere on paradise..

although you could enjoy this song with ure lady, the ‘fears’ makes u feel isolated.

like alone…..

hmm I knew the first verse was about his mother but I thought the 2nd verse was about his wife. Although the overall feel of the song is quite sad he does her call her radiant and vibrant and the setting of the desert island is quite romantic
