Best and Worst

Just wanted to post this so everyone can get their panties in a bunch bc there’s no tone or cunnin on it <!—EZCODE EMOTICON START D—><!—EZCODE EMOTICON END—>

For real tho, most of the lists are on point. Some things shouldn’t be on there, but oh well. Best list I’ve seen so far.

Re: HHS best of 2003

i made a post on their boards already about the glaring omission of Southernunderground. Really, how is that cd not in the top 10 on any 2003 review, especially one for independent hip hop releases? For it to be left out of the top 20 is a travesty. Especially when you’ve got a garbage cd like Megadef on there. That shit went out the window of my Acura.

that comment just made me sick. that cd is so banging.

Honestly, the only album I wouldn’t feel bad taking off the top 20 is Visions of Ghandi. Granted, the production on there is some of the best of the year, but the MCing (cept the guest spots) is garbage.

As for the other 19, I’m going thru em and I just don’t know what to take off. They’re all good albums.

I agree with most of their rankings, personally I would’ve put Southerunderground somewhere in the 10-15 range. Obviously these lists won’t please everyone, but it’s an extremely diverse list that gives props to a lot of styles of Hip Hop.

i thought megadef was just as ill as 2000 fold. The only thing I didnt like were the rock influenced tracks. But if you remove them its golden

Listen.

Southernunderground and Ghetto Pop Life were robbed, end of story.
