On the heels of Geraldine Ferraro’s comments that Obama is only winning because he’s Black, and subsequent refusal to apologize for these comments, its quite obvious whats going on here on Clinton’s part…who has refused to disassociate herself with Ferraro or her comments.
1. Allow supporter (Ferraro) to make racially divisive statement right before what will surely be a landslide loss with deep-racial lines (Mississippi) so the claim looks substantiated.
2. Send in Black token supporter (Maggie Williams) to defend statements and act like Obama is the one playing the race card for simply defending himself. “I’m not racist…I have a Black friend!”
3. Ruffle fear in the rural, working class Whites of Pennsylvania going into the last major primary of the season by daring Obama to defend himself and come across like an “angry Black man” that whines about race, which clandestine racists abhor.
Facts: We all know how hugely successful Black politicians have been, so Ferraro must be right. The key to becoming president is obviously melanin. Nevermind that only 14% of the U.S. population is Black and any minority candidate only being supported along racial lines would get DESTROYED in any election (hence the word minority). Nevermind that Obama carried Vermont, Idaho, Washington, Utah, Connecticut, Wyoming, Nebraska, Alaska, etc. which are hardly bastions of Blackness.
Fuck Hillary Clinton. I used to have a little respect for her, not anymore. I still am amazed at how DUMB people are to fall for this shit.
I watched this coool documentary last night that was a few years old i think. It was talking bout drugs in america and legalising drugs etc. It is crazy what the past presidents have done and the racism involved. America needs to elect a president that is going to lead and not just be the spokesman for this team of people behind the scenes who type the speeches out for them. American presidents are moslty just puppets. They have no control at all really.
Agreed, Kno. I get the feeling Clinton would rather have McBush.. err.. McCain win the presidential election than Obama.. why? So she can make a run in 2012. The juvenile “if I can’t have it, no one can” attitude she’s exhibitin is killing the democratic party(among other spineless things). Why else would she (falsely) trot out her and McCain’s fitness for being co-in-chief over that of Obama?
Enough with the Montague & Capulet regimes. While Obama has considerable corporate backing, Clinton just reeks of high-rise, corporate sleaze.
In reality none of us should be surprised people are too stupid to fall for this type of nonsense. As a kid I always thought age brought more intelligence, wisdom, maturity, etc… for people. But, I realized a few years ago that the majority of adults are just grown up versions of their younger selves. Most don’t mature or become smarter. Sad. What’s even more sad is people like Ferraro get into positions to help alter opinions and effect things.

It’s a shame that the news outlets are still trying to portray her as a viable candidate just to drag out this bullshit. She’s down by 160 delegates and 750,000 in the popular vote. She needs to win EVERY remaining primary by 65-35 margins to surpass Obama and the odds of that happening are ridiculously low. At this point, the only thing keeping her from being Mike Huckabee is that the media pretends that she still has a chance. In reality, Obama is looking forward to the general election against McCain and trying to shake Filthy Clinton off his ankles. The relationship between Obama and Hillary right now is very similar to the relationship between Mike Huckabee and John McCain circa one month ago.
edit- on a more positive note, though, no one should worry about Hillary winning. Unless the sky starts falling and dinosaurs start walking around again, anything Hillary does at this point is too little, too late.
Obama’s son Keith could get caught in a heated murder scandal after Maureen Kingsley finds out from his therapist that he pushed the Gibson boy out of the window after he raped his sister. Mike Novick can try and turn the story and way he wants, and Obama’s wife (as portrayed by Penny Johnson Jerald) can try and blackmail Maureen Kingsley all she wants, but in the end, it looks promising that he will win. Unless, of course, Jack Bauer pulls the trigger to save his wife and daughter.
Re: Clinton would rather start a race war than lose.

Regardless of what’s said or done, let us not forget that the Clintons are acting out of desparation. They want people to vote out of their baser instincts. They are running the same playbook that Karl Rove used. I just hope people are enlightened enough to see this for what it is this time. I used to think that Hillary had some kind of scruples and woundn’t use race and fear to get elected, I guess I was wrong. If she wins, I won’t vote, FUCK THE SYSTEM.
“This ain’t just young boy frustrated emotion, this is grown man rationale” Black Ice
“Clinton holds a 12-point lead over Obama in the state, 53 percent to 41 percent, according to the poll. The New York senator’s lead is double what a similar poll showed in late February, though it is still less than the 18-point gap between the two candidates in a month ago.
Clinton’s widest gains in the state are among white voters, who now back her over Obama by a margin of 28 points. That compares to a 19-point gap in the late February poll.”

The predictability is as laughable as it is sad…
All I’m saying is that I hope that America can move past this. I think a lot of voters are so used to acting out of fear that they are scared of any message of hope. In the past eight years many Americans have accepted the rolling back of the Bill of Rights, the transformation of our military into mercenaries for Big Oil (our servicemen and women had no choice in this one ) and a White House completly awash in criminal activity of all stripes all because of a reason that many people governed by logic can’t even fathom, their entire thought/decision making process was governed by fear. In the past several months, Clinton has made it abundently clear that she would be an extention of the kind of shitty politics that have plagued our system for so long.
Obama’s speech earlier today was phenomenal. Unfortunately it seems that choice pieces will be picked apart and the media will continue forth with the exact sentiments that Obama pointed out as hurting America, but whatever. I’m glad that hyperbolic issues such as “Hey guys Obama’s black, remember?!?” are being milked for all they’re worth right now, with the nearest primary 5 weeks away instead of on the heels of PA or, even worse, with the general election just weeks away. Shit like this was going to hit Obama eventually, so in the grand scheme of things he couldn’t have asked for a more convenient time to dismiss such utter shit.

I agree it was definitely a good thing to get these matters out of the way, and that’s exactly what his speech accomplished.

a view that sees the conflicts in the Middle East as rooted primarily in the actions of stalwart allies like Israel, instead of emanating from the perverse and hateful ideologies of radical Islam.
& let us not forget spec, that this country has yet to elect barack obama pres.
i appreciated this speech b/c he knew damn well that wht folks werent goin 2 receive this speech well, @ least not tha white folks he needs 2 win PA. barack refused 2 shit on tha amazing rev. jeremiah wright & that was refreshing for me to see & hear.

I peeped that too.
It just amazes me how the media demands that Obama sacrifice Rev. Wright, but won’t force Mccain to explain the parade of fundamentalist christian nutjobs that he’s had as advisors for his campaign.
It seems to me like the media is jumping all over this just because he said something harshly negative about America, which I guess is “unacceptable” in this day and age.
It’s kinda like when Obama’s wife got attacked for saying it was the first time she was really proud to be an American.
Elections make me think about the Illuminati, and just how possible it is that it could actually exist. So, what would the Illuminati do if Obama won? Would they pull a grassy knoll out of their pocket or is a puppet a puppet, regardless of color or pre-inauguration appearance?

Disgusted or not, is that really the way to go? I understand where you’re coming from with this, but long gone is the time when not voting was making a statement. It’s unfortunate, but at this point your job as a voter probably isn’t to vote for the best candidate, but to vote for the best likely candidate (unless you’re in one of the few remaining states that determines who gets the ticket). You may not like Hillary or McCain, but I’m sure that there is one of them that you see as a better option than the other, if Obama doesn’t get the nomination, that is.

Thats exactly what I have always said to people who dont vote cus they dont like any candidates.
Im not voting cus I CANT STAND any of the candidates if Obama loses. I wont vote for someone who wants to be in Iraq for 100 years (Mcpain). And the way Hellary is running her campaign is disgusting and I cant bring myself to vote for anyone with that little class.
and I have a grudge against nader… thanks for the past 8 years douche bag!
