FMakalishus said:hahah glad u enjoyed the show homie but I guess my bright orange on the shirt wasn’t bright enough for u to notice me cuz at the encore tone didn’t rhyme by himself, me and him did basix and ruthless and that wasn’t sos in the conga line, that was also lil ol me, and I did stomp with substantial
just tryna get it straight haha
Haha you’re right, sorry, I’m trying to remember everything. Basix was fucking awesome, I was so damn glad to hear that too! I figured it was SOS out there just because he was out there wandering around. I’m sure you’re in the picture I took somewhere out there I just didn’t look hard enough.
I’ll get the pics up as soon as I can, for now I’ve just got a couple of the videos on YouTube (one is of you and Stan doing your dancing session haha) check em out at . I’ll get those pics up asap, some of them came out blurry because we got yelled at for using our flash in the beginning but once more people got in there it didn’t matter so much
great show last night! I enjoyed this one even more than the last one.
it was so sick to see a CL set with both SOS and Natti ripping it up!
and it was really great that you guys threw down the bonus freestyle session after the encore. It definitly comes across that the QN5 camp is a tight group of friends who genuinely enjoy rockin with each other.
you know…. seeing all these dates, reading reviews, watchin videos….
really makes me miss QN5…. those shows were sooooo much fun. hmmm- hope theres some good summer shows coming up because I’m going to need some of those in my life again…..
firstly…I learned that I should recharge batteries the night before so my shit doesn’t die out after ONE picture. Even worse since I was in the front and could’ve gotten lots of great shots.
Last night’s show at Los Angeles was awesome. Braille came out and did one song.
Inverse killed it with a live band. I’ve never seen them perform with a band so that was cool to see. It sucked though, since you couldn’t hear them due to the bad mic levels . at least at the beginning.
Stan of course killed it. He did mostly his stuff from Sacrifice and then sprinkled a couple of his older tracks into the mix for his older fans. Only 5 according to Stan’s count lol. Stan gave me props during the show for knowing he came to “rhyme better” and it made my night.
Cunninlynguists was beyond awesome. Great mix of songs from all the albums. Natti’s intro to the stage was great with the light dimmed and him doing his verse to Things I Dream. It was cool to finally hear songs from Dirty Acres live and they just add way more energy than off the studio recordings. Lol at the hundreds of people who apparantley “own” SSv1 in Los Angeles.
I got everyone to sign my ticket and…yeah. Whatever show dates are left, go to one of them. QN5 shows are always the best.
When I was looking up info about the DNA lounge for the show tonight, I saw:
http://www.dnalounge.com/webcast/ We do streaming audio and video webcasts of whatever is going on at DNA Lounge at any time the club is open. Our goal is simple: if it goes out over the club’s sound system, it goes out over the web as well.
Actually… turns out they’re on stage right now doing sound check.
and for the record dave, it was my idea to spell out DWILLI with our bodies (YMCA style), but chris refused to go along with the plan.
edit: yo that webcast thing is SLICK. very fast and the sound is excellent.
Check out 12:42, start of Mic Like a Memory. The guy holding the t-shirt was a huge annoying douchebag the entire night, and jumps on stage after Kno makes fun of his t-shirt. A minute later, when the camera is focused on Kno, who jumps out of the shot for a second then gets back in? Yeah, he walked over and gave that guy a huge shove. He downplayed it later but it nearly knocked the guy over.
I forgot to mention, I’ve put up the pictures from Boulder on my Myspace in an album. I’ll try and get them to my website for those of you who don’t have a space, but for now they’re in there if anyone wants to check em out! Some didn’t come out so well because we were told not to use a flash
Skip said:Any idea when we might get some news on when/where the Megashow will be? I’d really like to try to make it and actually could be able to pull it off this year but the more time to plan, the better.
whoa….just noticed the Europe Dirty Acres tour dates for November on the cunninlynguist’s MySpace.
Wouldn’t happen to know if any of them will be in England?
or are none of them arranged yet and venues (and countries) still be decided?
I hope to god you can get to the UK….....or if not then Amsterdam around the time of a particular ‘cup’ would be amazing…....haha
I noticed that the New York show was added on CunninLynguists myspace page. I went over to the Knitting Factory’s website and they show that there will by many guests…
Who are these guests they speak of? I know it will be Substantial & Pack at the least. Tonedeff? Session? Mr SOS? Mini mega show? Other non QN5 artists? Louis Logic? Masta Ace?
I might have to rethink going to the Boston Show if this is the case. With work, I won’t be able to take both Thursday (day after Boston show) and Friday (day after NY show) off. So this leaves me with a decision. Now, unless Tonedeff plans on being at the Boston show as well, I might lean towards NY, as I want to see Tone live again as well. It’s either a 1 1/2 hr trip to boston, or 3 1/2 hour to NY…but if NY has atleast Tonedeff, and Boston does not, it would be worth it to me.
Any insight from any of the artists/moody? Thanks…
haha i’ve had that knitting factory tab open for the past couple hours. i periodically switch back to it, smile to myself for at least one good minute, and then get back to doing what i was doing.
if there’s a supershow in NY like jinx predicts, I might shed a few tears of anger/jealousy
or… I just might fly out there from LA assuming I don’t have a midterm or something on that day
My only problem, if I do go to the NY show rather than the Boston show would be needing to get a room in NY. They are expensive to say the least. Anyone know of any decent hotels in a decent area that aren’t going to run my 300+ for a night?
I’m still unsure which show I want to go to . Anyone in the know want to let me know if it would be worth it to go to the NY show over the Boston show? I’m definitely going to one of them. Would like to purchase my tix soon though, so I don’t run into any problem of them being sold out.
