hence this thread. Sounds cool tho, iv always felt j-zone on production tip [super-pause]. Was it khujo and killer mike u said (im on the celly, cnt b arsed scrollin back to find out) because thats dope if so, killer mike’s totally slept on, monster was near classic, and khujo has always been ill since ‘git up, git out’. Amped for this!

I am assuming it is more akin to the SS series, for the very reason that you mentioned about the remix to “Georgia”. Also, I believe one of Kno’s post actually called it Strange Journey Volume 1. So that is another hint that it is more like SS than a regular album. It seems like this is taking place of the SS series.

Or I could be wrong…lol

Word, i’ve just seen that and thought i’d better check the forums. Slug used to be one of my favourite rappers like 3 or 4 years ago. A track with him could work really REALLY well, or totally not fit. Have to wait and see.

Damn. Tone wasn’t lying when he said wait til we see the lineup for this album. I’ve been waiting for Cunninlynguists to work with Nappy Roots (it was only a matter of time) and I think Slug’s style can work very well with theirs as well.

On a side note, I liked to hear that they are working on Nappy Roots next project (though 40 Acres sounds eerily close to Dirty Acres - coincidence?)

Not really. Nappy Roots are talking about getting their “40 Acres”, CL were talking about living on the “Dirty Acres”, the land made hospitable by the use of slaves. Both slavery and racially motivated titles, but just including the same word doesn’t make them the same.

Nappy Roots are ill. Nappy Roots, Khujo, Killer Mike, CunninLynguists. I think the south will have a new classic this year.

I wasn’t going based on themes/subject matter of the two projects. And I was definitely not trying to imply any copying went on on either side. I was merely pointing out the phonetics of the two are similar. No point really with what I said, just talking out loud. I am definitely excited they are working together, as I like the Nappy Roots.
