Our facebook account was recently disabled last night for undetermined reasons.
I believe the problem may have occurred when we submitted a request yesterday to have our profile name changed from “Quintic Nickelism” to “QN5 Music”.
The profile name is a legitimate business issue, because our official brand contains a number and facebook doesn’t allow for numeric characters. People know the label as QN5 Music and not “Quintic Nickelism”, so it was confusing to have to use it in the first place. We explained this in the note attached to the name-change request, but apparently, someone unwittingly pulled the plug without acknowledging that.
Apparently, as I re-read their “Terms of Service”, it seems that every account has to be a “personal account” - YET they have a million ways to promote your band, buy ads, and promote business set up on the site. It really makes zero sense.
What makes this even more confusing & surprising, is that we actually received plenty of assistance from the Facebook staff in setting our account up - even validating the identities of each one of our artists via Driver’s licenses and official documents to ensure we were within the site guidelines (which took forever, btw). We followed the rules 100%, so this just adds to the frustration of having it pulled without warning.
We’ve spent a great deal of time getting the content on each of our artist pages up and networking with our fans - so, it’s very disheartening to have it disabled for no reason. I just hope that our content is still available if//when they reinstate it.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we’ll keep you posted on what happens.

Are there any other websites than we can expect to see QN5 socially networking on? Virb kinda took a nose dive, what about the site Stan recently got on?
admit it, you jus didnt want to be my facebook friend anymore. I only added you about a week ago lol. Serious note has anyone set up a fan page or any groups? If so point me in the right direction.
man, that really sucks. it appears that most of the QN5 artist pages are gone too. i’m sorry you guys have to jump through all these hoops and deal with so much bullshit

That’s a last resort. As it stands we can barely get 300 people signed up on the official QN5 group at the moment and I’d rather not confuse folks with another group to splinter into.

Did you make a profile page or a fan page? They are very eager to disable profile pages that are anything other than a person. You can of course make a fan page for anything, but the account it’s created under would have to be like… Tony… not QN5 music.

It was all done the way it needed to be done. As I pointed out, they helped us get it all working, because we had 8 artist pages controlled from one account. We’re waiting on a response. We’ll keep you posted.

Just got word back from Facebook that we basically have to start from scratch, and they would try to bring over some things like notes, wall posts, etc… but all content has to be reupped, etc. (Hello, Delay!). I’ve got my fingers crossed that they can re-link the fans to the pages as they originally were, but it doesn’t seem 100% clear from the letter they wrote back to us.
So, we may need everyone here to re-friend us and spread the word again. (Frusfuckingstration, USA). We’ll keep ya posted.
