Re: damn

hey…that was my post #400…boomshockalocka!

word.

I definitely like “what more can I say” remix off the Grey Album.

kno001_2.jpg

Still, Kno’s White Albulum is being <span style=“text-decorationunderline”>CRIMINALLY</span> overlooked because of the whole lawsuit thing poppin’ off with this record.

To me, personally (and to AllHipHop.com, HipHopSite & whoever’s heard it)...Kno’s version is hands down the most thorough and consistant of the remix projects. Too bad it’s not getting as much shine.

On a positive note…. You can still buy this for $10. lol <img ALT=”)”> QN5 Music

Re: word.

yea, true about the other ones being overlooked due to this controversy… i liked kno’s version way better than the grey album…

also this guy beirut, i heard some he did… and <img ALT=“eek”> shit is dope, ive never heard of him before but i was loving what he did…i didnt hear it all (not sure if he remixed all of them?) ...but, its up there tied with kno’s as my favorite from what ive heard so far

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/...tmusic.htm if you wanna check some of those out - i just see he removed some of them though and only has a few of the jay ones…still dope though…his version of threat was <img ALT=“eek”> ...i dont know why he removed it

Re: word.

kno’s joint is tight, i just enjoy the grey album the most. and it’s hard for me to be giving consistent play to the black, white, and grey albums since they all have the same lyrics. i’m feelin the grey album most, so that’s pretty much all i’ve listened to (cept the original ‘dirt off your shoulder’ and ‘99 problems’)

and fuck it, since i sold myself out already, RICK RUBIN IS A MOTHAFUCKIN GOD!!!! WOOOOOORD!

Nah.

Nah. I definitely don’t see where it’s superior to the White Albulum in any way.

Sorry, but I think everyone’s in love the concept of “only sampling the beatles album” as a novelty, and it’s something to talk about. Overall, it’s a cool idea that doesn’t work.

You can’t sit there and tell me that every beat on there is hot or enhanced the original song. “Brush Your Shouldoff as a southern-bounce beat with an annoyingly repetetive chopped sample? I don’t think so. But hey, if that’s how you like your music…rock on.

Kno’s consistantly sonned everyone else’s shit with his remixes, and If no one else going to say it…than I will. I’m tired of muffuckas acting like it was “aight” and then go big up someone else’s mediocre shit cause it had a cool idea behind it. Big deal. Shit don’t sound right on most of those songs. Kno made that album an ALBUM - A better album at that.

Give props where they are due. But you won’t. So fuck it. Bandwagon on. QN5 Music

.

word to what tonedizzle just said

I mean cool concept….yes…BUT listen to it…theres like 3-4 tracks that are dope, but can you honestly tell me you could bump that shit? I mean Dangermouse is a GREAT producer, but his Grey Album is pretty garbage compared to his other work (check “Ghetto Pop Life” now)

Knos album on the other hand is very consistant, People I have played it for were amazed at how different he made tracks. You cant even tell me the Grey Album is better then the White Albulum, And you cant even say Conceptually BECAUSE the concept fails in my opinion, other then like 3-4 songs that shit was trash not worth my $10 let alone the $100 its going on ebay for haha

Re: .

Thank the QN5 Gods. I thought I was the only one who was just ehhh about the Grey Album. It seems like he randomly picked beats to go with a song. Save your $100 and buy 10 White Albulums (I hate having to explain that title to everyone I tell about Kno’s album…it’s clever, of course). Did any of the other remixers out there even attempt to make the album have a “feel”? I wish I did buy a Grey Album now because I’d start the bidding at “$.01 with No Reserve!!” P.S. Leave the remixing to the masters and save your gimmicks for late night TV.

Re: .

I guess I can’t pull off the italics like Tone. Oh well, at least I can rhyme faster…oh wait…

Re: .

i did listen to it. i’ve listened to it at least 20 times, and it’s a beautiful album. i said kno’s joint is tight, but i’m feelin dm’s more. and if we’re talking about the most complete sounding album from front to back, i would give it to 9ths remix. i’m feelin it the least out of the 3, but it sounds the most complete to me.

i’m not jumpin on the concept of the grey album, even though the concept is dope. i think he pulled it off extremely well. no way it compares to ghetto pop life, but i think it’s the best out of the remix joints.

Re: .

Yah i had a Real copy of “The Grey Album” I sold it for $164.00us on ebay

Go White.

If by “consistant”, you mean “repetetive” and “non-dynamic” then, you got yourself a winner. I dig 9th’s work (on “The Listening”), and I’m strictly speaking in terms of the Black Album remixes.

Kno hit so many angles with his tracks. He tackled each song as its own beast, and still maintained (and in most cases ENHANCED) the feel of that album. I mean, dog…he made “Justify My Thug” actually sound HOT. That’s a fuckin accomplishment in itself.

You really just missed the boat if you can’t hear it. S’a Shame.

Dah well. QN5 Music

Re: Go White.

ok…

The grey album.. good concept.. aweful product… the grey album ruins some classic shit…

white album… used concept.. great finished product… i gotta admit kno did not top kanye on encore.. but all the tracks if not better than the originals had their own vibe and were easily as good!

yo

i woulda spend a fuckin dollar on that Grey Album shit.. oh hey guys, guess what i did.. i put the Hyphen EP vocals over the beats from Christina Aguilera’s self titled album.. if anybody wants to cop it they can pick it up for $999 bucks on my website SaveYourFuckinMoney.com

Re: yo
