Strange Journey European Tour 04/20 – The Luminaire - London, UK

wow oh wow, thanks to everyone for posting those recaps! i really, really love how universally wonderful the qn5 live show experience is. whether it’s someone posting a recap from america or europe, from a small venue or a large festival, there are tales of how friendly and approachable the artists are, and how the show itself is absolutely top notch. qn5 artists really are the best at everything.

and yes epic come to the megashow! you other uk blue schoolers should too!

ps AHHHH!!! a real photo of the strange journey shirt!! sweeeeeeet.

Yes, terrific to hear everyone’s experience & enthusiasm; thanks so much for posting. Sounds like it was great energy & a magical night.  So happy the first trip to UK was a success!

I’d say I would have killed to be at this show, but nobody died and I wasn’t there, so no one would believe me.

Fantastic recaps, folks! It makes me proud to know that the UK blue schoolers came out and represented for QN5 when no promoters would give us a shot in London. No promoters, no promo, just word of mouth and y’all shut it the fuck down. You helped us prove a point and this opens the door in the UK for us to come back.

I definitely won’t miss the next trip out. I’m really lookin forward to rockin with y’all.

Hollerate!

You’re giving me Susan Boyle goose-bumps.  So happy about UK going so well. Very Happy

AL* said:Well what a night!!!! Got to agree with everything y’all have said already. I was lucky enough to bump into them before the show. They were hanging about checking out the ass walking around, and Natti had gone to inject himself with more minton or some shit Laughing We saw them at the same bar as you krok420 We were having a beer and Kno just casually walks by I was like wtf no way haha. I got a few pics and vids of the show, i’ll put them up when I get a lil more time but here are a couple of pics for now.

2 of them had come down from Leicester and the other from Norway (I think)

Hey man thats me and my cousin, we decided that since the other guy (for the life of me cant remember his name) was sat on his own and obviously there for the hip-hop that we’d go talk to him. It was nice to meet and have a bit of a chat before the show. As you posted, it was good to be able to talk to like minded people, getting excited about upcoming projects etc without looking at you like you’re some kind of weirdo.

Without doubt the most amazing show I have ever been to! I cant thank the whole of QN5 enough for an amazing time. I really hope we did it justice and that they will consider returning, i’d love to know their thoughts on that possibility Wink

You were sat in the corner nearest to the Luminaire of the Black Lion, right?

I was sat at the far side of the pub with a boy in a green coat.

BTW, on the topic of the shameful lack of interest in QN5 from the UK music biz generally, has anyone seen any reviews, or even previews,  of the Luminaire show in the UK media? Time Out (does it still come out fortnightly)? The NME or similar? Evening Standard?

Hhahaha tight.

One small step for man…

Haha that’s dope.

But I definitely think if QN5 was to do another show in the UK, The Luminaire is an amazing venue.

Anything besides that exciting tweet?

Anyone heard from staff/boss’s at Luminaire and there take on the show??

Be interesting to see if they thought if it was the livest shit they’ve seen from the artists and crowd combined.
Shit was crazy.
I may be wrong though cause they have all sorts of genres there.

Look several posts up regarding the Luminaire Tweet.. ^^^^

That Tweet is dated at 5ish on April 20th - before the show started.
They were loving it before the real live shit even started - haha.

Just wondered what they thought about it after the show…..

*realises and looks at Luminiare twitter*

ahh - they posted this up:

“Cunnylinguists & Substantial have left the building. That was a truly incredible show. Up there with Wildbirds & Peacedrums, easily.”

http://twitter.com/theluminaire/status/1569968564

I’ve never heard of ‘Wildbirds & Peacedums’ but Youtubin’ them - they’re pretty cool, but badly missing a bass guitar, imo.

From Twitter:

“At the CunninLynguists gig. Holy shit these guys are killing it!”
