Kokayi Mass Instructions

I just downloaded Mass Instruction (UK amazon link for

Quick question, that song posted on the blog had a sorta reggae feel to it, does Kokayi’s album have that overall feel? Because Knowus Mayne was dope and I’m always looking for stuff like that.

You can preview the entire album on Amazon - but yeah, it’s funky. Not quite as reggae as Knowus Mayne but def worth checking out.

i just bought it off amazon..cant wait for it to come in the mail

Dope album!
Great instrumentals.
Great lyrics.
Great rappin’.
Great singing.
Great!

His style is so different than the rest of QN5…
I’m actually amped to ear Kokayi meshing with Tone, or Deacon, or Stan… or produced by Kno, or Domingo…

I think it’s a good addition to the roster, because he brings a new style to the table. A new approach. A completely different style.

Keep doin what you doin Koke…

I just can’t take “SunSon(Dun)” out of my head… I tried. Believe me, I tried…
But that song is just… DAMN!!!
It stays in my head and I can’t take it off…
That one should’ve been the single for the album.

Everyone should listen to that fuckin’ song man…!

Just copped the album off iTunes along with some other QN5 iTunes exclusives that I didn’t have backed up on my external HD when I had to reformat my computer.. It’s all in the process of downloading..

I’ve been listening to a few songs from the album quite a bit lately.

My favorite songs are Knowus Mayne, DCB, Babylon (Hey Nah), Argyou!, and Love Ya Babe.

It’s an incredible album. I’m so glad I listened to this properly!

Those are exactly my favs as well… plus Gamesteady. “The game…” that hook is sick!

My man Koke is a beast.

The album is dope.

I’m loving it.

But there is just one thing: why are there two versions on iTunes? They both have the same tracklist, but have different covers

album is illness, iv been bumpin it all day. Wild shit!

OK, now seriously why isn’t everyone in this forum talking about this album? I think i’m literally in love with “Knowus Mayne”, lol. This is such a good body of work. Dude seems to be in the “same vein” as k-os in the singer/songwriter/emcee/producer dept. and anyone who knows k-os’ work knows that this is a good thing. I’ma be buying “The New Grease” from cdbaby when I get paid, for sure!

is there anywhere to get this physically still? I saw it on CD Baby but is says “CD-R”, is that the original album or a copy?

Copy mayne. I got it on UGHH when it was on sale for $7. It went out of stock and i’ve never seen it anywhere since.

there are a couple on amazon, one is used:

I got mine used from amazon. when I opened it up it was autographed…... for someone named Bryan. Bryan you suck, dude.

kinda whack they sellin a CD-R for $13 + shipping, gonna go amazon, wish prime applied to third party sellers.. Sad

I ordered mine for ~10-15 dollars (not sure) over discogs two weeks ago

CD-baby was incorrect in calling it a CDR. the copy i sent to kick the process off and get it digitally encoded was a cdr. then i had the actual glass mastered copies and sent them those.

2 different covers because my good friends in France that licensed the album did their own cover and were supposed to only do digi for the European territories and IODA had the US…i guess their geography was off by a little. thanks for the support for sure.

the grind continues.

so are u sayin that what CD-baby is sellin is the original?

Is the dark cover the original? I’ve only seen the white cover popping up recently.

yes what cd baby is selling should be the actual cd. the original cover is the dark cover. i like the white cover better.. this dude called “a Cat called Fritz” designed it. dope pen work.

hmm, i’ve never seen that white cover looks dope

i contacted CD Baby, and they verified that they are selling the original copy of Mass Instructions, not a CD-R

if u aint got it, get it!
