Quick question, that song posted on the blog had a sorta reggae feel to it, does Kokayi’s album have that overall feel? Because Knowus Mayne was dope and I’m always looking for stuff like that.
Dope album!
Great instrumentals.
Great lyrics.
Great rappin’.
Great singing.
Great!
His style is so different than the rest of QN5…
I’m actually amped to ear Kokayi meshing with Tone, or Deacon, or Stan… or produced by Kno, or Domingo…
I think it’s a good addition to the roster, because he brings a new style to the table. A new approach. A completely different style.
I just can’t take “SunSon(Dun)” out of my head… I tried. Believe me, I tried…
But that song is just… DAMN!!!
It stays in my head and I can’t take it off…
That one should’ve been the single for the album.
Just copped the album off iTunes along with some other QN5 iTunes exclusives that I didn’t have backed up on my external HD when I had to reformat my computer.. It’s all in the process of downloading..
OK, now seriously why isn’t everyone in this forum talking about this album? I think i’m literally in love with “Knowus Mayne”, lol. This is such a good body of work. Dude seems to be in the “same vein” as k-os in the singer/songwriter/emcee/producer dept. and anyone who knows k-os’ work knows that this is a good thing. I’ma be buying “The New Grease” from cdbaby when I get paid, for sure!
CD-baby was incorrect in calling it a CDR. the copy i sent to kick the process off and get it digitally encoded was a cdr. then i had the actual glass mastered copies and sent them those.
2 different covers because my good friends in France that licensed the album did their own cover and were supposed to only do digi for the European territories and IODA had the US…i guess their geography was off by a little. thanks for the support for sure.

Is the dark cover the original? I’ve only seen the white cover popping up recently.
yes what cd baby is selling should be the actual cd. the original cover is the dark cover. i like the white cover better.. this dude called “a Cat called Fritz” designed it. dope pen work.
