So, I’ve been thinking about this for a while even before it was actually brought up…
What’s your vision of APOS Live? What would you like to see?
I’d like to see The Gates with Tone (acting as we know he can).. stage lit and the second he says “Lights out, so peaceful…” then all lights shut except for a dimmed spotlight right above him… then when he says “I see a figure standing guard who invites me to pray” Tone falls to his knees and a second dimmed spotlight slowly comes on with Deac’s father acting as St Peter and Deacon rapping the verses… then when Deac says “Sentenced to fight fires for eternity” Tone jumps in a pit of fire. Just kidding. But before that is my vision.
I’ve a few of these little scenarios… even for the interludes… share yours cause I’m sure you’ve thought about it.
yup, he did that in NYC too. that’s why i’m so excited to see all of APOS done live. the songs provide so, so, so many opportunities to get in character. when rappers actually get into the characters of their songs, it makes things so much more heartfelt and personal. that makes me infinitely more hype and happy than when emcees aimlessly jump around on stage.
Am I crazy or what? While I love hearing ppl’s ideas about what could be… I’m almost afraid that we’re setting the bar SO high… & don’t want QN5 artists to think “oh shit… we can’t live up to our fans expectations.”
Of course they ALWAYS do anyway… and it’s all hypothetical imagining on our part of what could be.
Guess I’m just being super-sensitive, protective… lol.

Well I kinda feel shitty for sharing now. Of course I know that whatever happens during those 5 ish hours will be well beyond whatever I can put together in my 22 year old brain but I just thought it’d be interesting to see what other people thought. Maybe we should make a thread that only non-artists can see, Chris? *slowly rubs hands together in a Mr Burns manner*
Halfamazing… no, your vision was cool to read & I can see it too. Didn’t mean to make you feel bad. It’s actually pretty cool that fans are SO in tune w/ the music & so excited… that ppl envision detailed scenes of concerts to be & dream about the music. (Oh, & adorn our bodies with tats too.)
Just the thought of hearing the acoustic guitar from “Where Will You Be” played live by Tim Means, then Deacon singin’ on it gives me chills up the spine…
And I don’t even dare my tought to go further than that.

It maybe a stretch. He’s good friends with the QN5 fam but the dude looks real busy during July: He’s travelling all over the world and had to put a hold on doing the “Rock The Bells” tour. He maaaay be back in August, but seeing that dude perform a beautiful song would be an incredible sight I tell ya!
