Yupp that’s right.. I got an e-mail today from AccessHipHop and apparently they have got the album in stock. Ofcourse I ordered a copy immediately. If you want this album then don’t hesitate, order now cus it will probably be out of stock!

As I’ve stated numerous times on this website, LAU has never paid us one red cent of royalties out of the tens of thousands it owes, let alone send us even one statement on sales and distro.

If you consider CL one of your favorite hip-hop artists, just know Natti has a wife and children to support in a recession while the owner of LAU drives a brand new Hummer and $8 of that $13.95 goes directly into that dude’s gas tank. Sad, huh?

But L.A. Underground had nothing to do with Strange Journey Volume One or any other CL release besides SSV2 and APOS. We control everything else or deal with a 3rd party we trust. We’ll be re-releasing WRFF and SU in the next few months ourselves as “Deluxe Editions”, actually.

LAU as a label, on the other hand, has been fucking us over since 2005 when APOS got pushed back, the vinyl single and vinyl 2XLP never came out & the movie was never made. If you bought SSV2 or APOS anywhere besides at a live show or during pre-orders, we never saw a dime of it. That includes SSV2 and APOS on iTunes/Amazon etc.

Damn. It sucks hearing that stuff about SSV2 and APOS. I would think it would be an easy case for you guys (and your lawyers) if there was a signed contract and he has 0 proof of ever giving you anything. Obviously I don’t know much about laws, especially entertainment laws, so I the chances what I said are correct are probably about 23.5%.

In the mean time, that is awesome news on WRFF and SU. If you are indeed planning on releasing remixes with it, it would be interesting to hear some older tracks with new beats.

I will be getting that WRFF re-release when it comes out. excited.

I just wanted to ask a question as a person that got the CD from Fat Beats the year it dropped. Were you guy’s screwed out of money when people bought it at small stores like that?
Regardless when you drop a re-release of that I plan to get it.

The APOS pre-orders were done directly off of QN5.com, so yes.

I just heard SJV1 and it’s sick, thanks for making it.
I was thinking of buying a copy, (first CD purchase in a couple years) I was going to get it at HMV but should I only get it off QN5.com?

I’m finding excuses to drive places just so I can pump this album out of my audio speakers.

Also, I was at your show in Victoria, BC where I live, about a year ago and you guys said it might be your last trip to Canada because of bullshit at the border. Are you planning on coming to Victoria again sometime soon?

I was the guy at that show who while jumping in the front row landed on a beer bottle that impaled my foot right through my shoe, leaving a trail of blood out of the club onto the sidewalk outside. It was worth it though, your shows are always the best.

Money from Strange Journey gets to CL from where ever you buy it (except eBay and the like), since the distribution and whatnot is with Red Eye and Bad Taste. No LAU involved.
