QN5 Music

Seriously all of this in one year, I know it has been said before but you guys are the hardest working label/artists around. There’s never a drought of material coming from you guys and besides the quantity the quality is completely unmatched. I still listen to every single CD that has come from your camp. I’ve yet to hear a CunninLynguists song that I dislike. Natti and Deacon you guys are too personable, I really do feel your emotions pouring through your lyrics. At the risk of sounding redundant, Kno you are “genius producer”! Every time I hear a new snippet or something I get giddy like a pre-pubescent school girl. So this is my fan-boy topic devoted to the greatness of CL.

The craziest part is that above all the hype I feel for the release of your new material, I’m really more excited for your possible return to Miami. The show you guys did here for the Dirty Acres tour was definitely a highlight of my life, and that’s really saying a lot. You guys are the greatest musical act I have managed to stumble upon (I’m no hip hop slouch at that). Anyways, I don’t want you all to think I’m some crazy rambling fan, you guys have really made a difference in my life.

Moral of the story: I can’t wait to be rocking out at your next show to your new material. Just make sure you guys come down to Florida again… preferably Miami, but we’re willing to make a drive.

I think oneirology will def come this year. I don’t think we will be seeing death is silent and chico and the man though. Just a feeling. Way too good to be true.

We’re already damn way half into the year. 10 albums in 6 months is a little hard to believe (also the fact that no release dates have even been mentioned yet). Just being realistic. Unless some of those 10 albums have already been released. Only one’s I’m keeping up with would be the kno solo, catm and oneirology. Mark my words out of those three only one we will be seeing this year is oneirology if we’re lucky. Hand on heart if those three albums release before 2011 I will buy a copy for everyone that’s posted in this thread so far with the exception of Qn5.

Well… let’s break it down.

1. “Deffinitions” is done. It’s all instrumentals. Probs be released digital-only, like Vol. 1 was.
2. Oneirology, Ni**az With Latitude, Death is Silent will probably all be handled by Kno and CL, who have a pretty good track record for getting stuff out on time, if you look at their track record.
3. Stan has been working so much lately, I would be surprised if Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood wasn’t all done.

That leaves us with 4 in 7 months, since IFHR is all done. Kokayi has been posting re: Robots and Dinosaurs and says things are progressing well. SOS has been writing A LOT lately, so I bet Cassette Verite is close to done (writing-wise) as well. CatM is the one I’m worried about, honestly. And Asterisk 5 might be tight.

I remember SOS saying he was finishing up 2 albums simultaneously on Twitter at some point a few weeks back and I think Kokayi’s getting near the finish line as well. Tone said in the CWR interview that once these projects start being finished they’ll drop the following month, which seems like it can be easily accomplished. I could see one mayyyyyyybe two projects overlapping into the first couple months of 2011 if worst comes to worst, but 110% faith in CATM dropping this Fall/Winter.

I have no doubt that CATM will drop since Tone guaranteed it to arrive in 2010. CATM is essentially done, not sure what they’re still workin out, but I think its probably manufacturing/marketing atm. I wouldnt be surprised if a few albums got pushed to 2011.

Lol I said so far. I gotta house to build and a family to support I can’t afford to buy every poster in here three albums. By so far I meant the people who had posted before me which would be snowy, 2 by four, epic-aesthetic, crate diggin and sir fox. If those three albums get released this year you have my word you will get them free from me (and I’m talking all three being released not just one or two of them)

Well I made a comment earlier that I honestly don’t believe that Catm, oneirology and death is silent will all be released before 2011. I’m so confident that I said I would buy a copy of each album for the people who had posted in the thread so far if all three of those albums get released this year.

I am sure of myself. I say no way in hell those three albums get released in a 6 month span. I want to hear them as bad as everyone else it just doesn’t sound like it’s gonna happen to me…guess we will just have to wait and see. I do hope I’m wrong though it would be epic to get those albums this year.

Na lol just clarifying what I said. If 30 people post in here no way I could afford to buy 90 albums for everyone which is why I said so far. Btw I do think they could pull it off but I believe they won’t.

I’m not trying to be negative or unsupportive to kno and cunninlynguist at all…and I’m sorry if it came across that way. I just think it’s way too good to be true. Same situation with the black keys saying that they plan to release three records this year. Would I love it? Fuck yea I would but I won’t get my hopes up espicially when it took them half the year to release one album.

Alright I’m done with this topic. Bottom line i do want and hope for all those albums to be released this year…and when they do release I’ll support them just like I have with all the other cunninlynguist releases. I just like to think realistically which was obviously a mistake to do around here.

Nah I don’t think he is trying to mock you, he’s just fucking with you. Very playful, as can be seen with the funny pictures, Tone is a playful cat anyways. It is just that there has been a lot of emphasis and reiterating of the QK10 plan, and right now we should just go based of what we have been hearing, which is that they seriously want to put out all these records, and that’s the plan and as Tone said earlier in this thread, they are on schedule so far. Also mentioned in the audio interview with him, he said that 10 records are coming out, meaning they are going to double up or even triple up in some months to get it all out. That’s all I needed to hear to strongly believe in the QK10 plan, so I’m going with that.

But it is cool to know that you are going to do that for the 5 people who posted, so that is pretty sweet on your part. I am sure that Tone knows you’re fan and appreciates your support, the pictures should be taken lightly lol. What other label has artists actually respond to their fans with their questions and concerns like this though, that is what sets QN5 apart.

It’s all good famm, we’re just clowning. It just seemed like you were really going out of your way to express how little faith you had that all the releases of QN5 won’t be done in a year.

This is a QN5 forum; as Blue Schoolers we are here to support the artists. What would’ve been alittle better is…

“I hope you guys can do it! I’m gonna buy everything you guys release!”

Ya I got you. Your right I could have and should have expressed it differently. It’s not that I don’t have faith, it’s just that I usually expect the worst so I’ll be suprised when the good things do happen.
