Chico And The Man Possible New Addresses!!

Alright. So I found a new address. At least I am pretty sure its new (to the thread). It is the address for HCK, LLC. Below you will find that the building was built in 1922, the year Fulgencio Batista began to rule Cuba. I went to Google Maps and did a street view of the building. It appears to be a Copy place. They offer services in audio/video copying as well as X-Ray copies (someone referred to an inverted Fetusahorse image earlier). Below is the address and link describing the physical aspects of the property…

101 SE 1st Avenue, Delray Beach, Florida 33444

The second time I googled HCK, LLC a new site and address came up. This particular “HCK, LLC” was started by a William E. Morris. The address it lead me to is a restaurant called Old Calypso. The only relation I found is that Kalypso is a mythological sea nymph that detained Odysseus on the island of Ogygia for 7 years. After researching the address, I did a search on the name. A notable poet with the same name came up. One of the things he was famous for is translating Homer’s Odyssey back in 1887. Coincidence??

I don’t really know what to make of the second address but it is interesting that it kind of relates to CATM’s apparent sea theme. Let me know if all this is old news or not. I may be reading entirely to deep into it but oh well. Haha.

Alright, after following up on these clues and comparing with some previous posts. I’m 80% I’ve deciphered the topics of “My Lady”. I believe them both to be related to Greek Mythology. The first verse is from Perseus’ point of view referring to his deceased mother that he never met, Danae. Persues was found in a wooden trunk, with his deceased mother, that washed ashore the island of Seriphos. The second verse in My Lady is describes The Odyssey. The story is of him trying to return home to his wife after the Trojan War. The verse particularly refers to when the main character Odysseus was held captive by Calypso. She was beautiful and she wanted Odysseus to be her husband. Her plan was to trick him into having children with her. Some folklore says that they did in fact have 2 children.

Alright, that’s about all I got. Braindead! Tone, Kno, are we gettin closer?!

PS - The Odyssey’s theme is that it is a story of Homecoming. Odysseus was a king. Perhaps a ‘H’ome ‘C’oming ‘K’ing???

God. Damn. The people on this forum never cease to amaze me. Everytime I see a new thread here it is filled with ridiculously well thought out theories. If the THEORIES are this detailed and in depth, phew, I can’t wait for the mindfuck that will be CATM.

I appreciate My Lady 1000x more than I did the first time I heard it after listening to it with all of the various ideas in mind, which is saying quite a lot since it was love at first listen.

Great job with the research treuth. This is mindblowing stuff. One thing though. The explanation for the first verse doesn’t exactly fit. Danae survived the trip and lived in Seriphos: http://www.pantheon.org/articles/d/danae.html.

I can’t believe the amount of depth this one song has. God knows what we’ll find when we look at the album as a whole. Tone, you’re an evil genius.

Good call on Danae not being found dead. My initial research was based off of the new “Clash of the Titans” film. In that movie she is found dead.

Also, I misread the year Batista began to rule. 1922 was the year Gerarda Machado began his rule (to 1933). Gerardo Machado was the dictator that Batista otherthrew. In regards to Batista’s Florida home, he was not allowed to return into the United States after being overthrown. Him and his family instead relocated to Spain. When Batista died, however, his wife moved to Palm Beach, FL and lived in a mansion until she died.

Any one have anything on Batista’s mother or first wife? I’m finding very little on both of them.

Y’all are taking that extra, extra mile. haha

This guy is the truth!

Sleuth for the truth!! Haha, but yo, I think if there are any Florida kats on here they need to take the extra mile to that copy place!! There could be a copy of a new single or something. Better yet, a new single accompanied by a video!! Haha, wouldn’t that be nice.

This is probably nothing but just around the corner from 101 SE 1st there is a little place at 102 SE 2nd ave called “Our Lady Bakery”.....food for thought? Nyuck Nyuck.

Really good work on the Odysseus bit, seems almost spot on. But you are completely wrong about Machado. He took office in 1925 and wasnt succeeded by Batista. There were multiple presidents and provisional presidents between Machado and Batista, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Presidents_of_Cuba

Although kudos for the research, its work like this that might finally convince tone and kno to release the album Very Happy

You guys are ridiculous in an awesome sort of way

Trying to get my mind around all this

Fuck yeah, you’re a hero man! ‘My Lady’ is really starting to fit together!

I found a few lines from My lady thats even more indicates that the second verse is about Odysseus and Calypso.

“If the seas are wild then she’s an island”

Calypsos name in ancient Greek was Atlantis, and I take it you all know about the supposed island kingdom of Atlantis.

“And she’s decided in her sneaky slyness she’d conceive a titan”

As trueth said, Calypso and Odysseus is said to have had two children, so thats not news to you. But whats also important is that Calypso is daughter to Atlas, one of the Titans, which very clearly explains the otherwise strange selection of words. She is literally conceiving a Titan Smile

The source for all this is of course the omniscient wikipedia Very Happy

Good call on the Machado stuff. The original site I got my info from was incorrect. It said 1922. But yo, I just had a crazy idea. I think its pretty far fetched but its the only thing I can think of that relates all topics/clue revealed thus far. Now its not a strong relation but perhaps it some how ties in. Alright, here it goes ..
Yall remember Elian Gonzalez? The dude who’s mother drowned when she was trying to flea Cuba with her son about ten years ago? We’ve got Cuban connection. The boy lost his mother battling Poseidon’s wrath. That somewhat intertwines with our supposed Greek mythology relation. He was residing in Miami during his stay in the US. So far all clues have pointed to Miami. Hmm .. What do yall think?

very good idea.
but it could be a coincidence aswell considering that it is only connected by the facts boy, mother dying (assumed), Cuba and the US, but it is very interesting.

how does this fit with the revolution though? is it out of the game?

Sorry I haven’t checked this forum ever since I gave up on the clue a year ago….

So far we’ve connected two other topics to CATM….

1) The Cuban Revolution

and

2) Homer’s Oddyssey

So where do these two things meet?

we can haz clue 6 nao?

pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease…
