Chico And The Man Colour Symbolism: Black and White

The Black and White colours used, according to the chart of colour symbolic meanings mean…

“Black and white stands for mourning and cheerless occasions. For example, traditional garb for a funeral is black and white. Black for the loss, and white for their passing onto the heavens.”

I’m 90% certain death is one of the major themes in the Chico & The Man story. The black and white colours are found were ever you find CATM; whether it’s the twitter background, the white mariposa webpage or the albums logo. ‘No Hope’ and ‘My Lady’ both are based on the death of a person too and the mariposa website is a supposedly memorial service, I don’t think this is coincidence.

I apologise if I’m repeating myself, also you may notice us kiwi’s spell ‘colour’ differently - this is not a typo!

Or it could also hint towards a good vs evil, right vs wrong dynamic. I know Tone is a LOST fan after all. Two sides, one is light, one is dark. Tone and Kno!!!!
