I just came home to find the Rage edition in all it’s glory, and all I can say is, wow.
The craftsmanship, and the finished product of this compared to 4-5 years ago is insane.
The dartboard is really impressive, the darts actually stick very well to the board.
The shirt is what you think it is, as is the poster. The pins are a great touch, now I just need a Yankees hat with a biohazard logo on the side and I can throw the FMania Inc pin on the other side and be PackFM (disclaimer: you won’t actually become PackFM.)
The entire packaging of what matters most, the album is amazing. The tucked away Rap Attack/Rehab Form manual is perfect, and a great touch that shows how polished this entire package is. I don’t want to give anything away for anyone else, but outside of going to a record store (wait, what’s a record store again?) and buying the album off the shelf, this is the first time in a long time that I’ve truly been excited about getting a new album, even though I’ve had this album on repeat for the past month.
I copped the mp3 version on itunes and a standard issue CD. I’m waiting on the CD to get here and starting to regret not gettin the rage edition. I shoulda listen to nick swardson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWZjg18hIs8
I got it today, but someone decided to leave it in a corner of the house where I wouldn’t notice it forever…terrible
the packaging is awesomeeeeee
I forgot about what was supposed to be in there from when I ordered so when I opened it up I was doubly pleased with the amount of content. I feel like I underpaid.
everything in the packaging works so well together with what the album is about and then some. the rap attack had me laughing as I’ve definitely had rappers come at me with that “do you love hip hop” opening line before.
The dartboard is surprisingly legit. haha I started listening to the instrumentals and they’ve already shown me a bunch of things I never heard while listening to the album over the past few weeks. Hit The Breaks and the Sire OG are dope.. along with the Rap Attack fold-out. I think I might put one of em on the wall with my IFHR poster. haha
This is the neatest packaging I have ever seen! I love the blue tissue paper that is holding everything together. I love you guys for doing all this! It wasn’t just all thrown together, but the box was actually so organized on the inside even though it came from miles away! Perfect gift to get at the end of a long week!!!
GOT IT!
So glad i ordered the whole RAGE and not just the CD! The “Rap Attack” poster is pure genius, the dartboard is real neat too. I’m going to tell my friends to order one while they still can
Just ordered another copy of the CD because I realized I’m not going to want to open the physical CD. Got the album on iTunes, but I wanna be able to see liner notes and the booklet, too.
Now, I just gotta get home to see the box. Hope it’s there. Should’ve been here yesterday as it only needed to travel about two boroughs.
Just got it earlier today. I was having a good day and it added to it. Everything came out very nice. Would prefer a different kind of shirt, but I’m just being picky being I run a t-shirt company. The dartboard is mad cool and fun. But must get back to the music.
Haha this thread reminded me to check the mail today, so thank you for that
I love the style of the drawings on the rap attack side of the booklet
The photo on the inside of the digipak is *perfect*, and I’m loving the faux-logo, too
It’s been a long day, so you’ll have to pardon the slowness, but the Rapper Rehab side took me a minute. I was all, “Wait…this is just…was there a printing mistake, or…this looks like…OHHHHH!” hahah, very clever though.
Got mine today. Had a good laugh with the insert. Times Square and Union Square are infamous for being accosted on the street by rappers. Except for me, being a big dude, I always hear, “Yo, big man! Yo, big man! You like hip-hop?”
The suggested methods work better than pretending I’m deaf.
PretendGirl said:^ Amen, the CD was not shrinkwrapped. Maybe the one you ordered by itself will be.
In order for Pack to Autograph the CDs, we had to remove the shrinkwrapping.
Hey Amen, if you want, we’ll just toss in a non-autographed one, since you have one now. Also, UGHH.com has the wrapped-version as well.
got a note that it arrived, but since i wasn’t here they took it back to the post office (lame), and theyre closed thru monday (extra lame), so i have to wait til tuesday to get it… ARGH! god damn USPS keeping my ears from bliss
Got my two copies. Fantastic quality throughout and great value.
In addition to baby blue tissue paper.. baby blue elastic band on the posters?
Even though I’ve listened to the digital version a lot, this package just makes it all fresh again. Instrumentals are awesome. Btw, did Tone produce closure?
KNOWLEDGE said:Just ordered about an hour ago. Sorry for causing another trip to the post office Tone.
No need to apologize. We need to sell as many as we can.
Cool bananas. I dunno why I didn’t pre-order a month ago though. I guess I was being a bit tight with my money but I had a few pennies spare which I didnt think I had so when I found out pre-orders were still around I had to jump on it.
BTW, i’ve got my fingers crossed that the PackFM scrobbling week on Last.FM was a success. Nearly 11k scrobbles in 6 days. The week prior I clocked it at about 4k. Alot of it will have been because of the new album dropping, but I know a couple of people out there really put in some hours with their PackFM CD’s this week.
Received mine in the mail yesterday. The insert is dope, even with a typo being in the very first part I see . Also I feel special to have a shout-out.
Does anyones copy have the filenames and tags filled in? mine is just track 1, track 2 etc. with no artist details, and auto-tag on mediamonkey doesnt work..
