Kno Death Is Silent - Official Discussion Thread

KNOWLEDGE said:I simply said that I didnt think I could pull it off, not that I didnt like the art or whatever. You say one negative thing in 700 posts and you get slated Sad
Edit: and as for the work thing, Im a manager in an office filled predominately with women in their 40s and 50s. Wearing t-shirts with hot naked chicks would be as inappropriate as wearing the I love Vagina t-shirt.

Its just common sense.

Now can we please get back to the exceedingly dope music, that is why we’re all here.

We still love you. It’s ok that you rock tees with naked menses on them, QN5 don’t judge. lol

Thanks alot for posting the layout of the shirt! It looks fresh as hell. Really digging the skull and the writing on the back. It’s something new, something different and definetely wearable for me haha

LOL @ the whole shirt thing

I rock my APOS shirt almost weekly. Can’t wait to add this one to the bunch. The poster and everything is also fking awesome. QN5 decorates my room nicely.

Also, coincidentally enough, I just started complaining about my crappy keychain that my keys always fall off a few days ago. Hopefully I don’t lose them before this shows up on my doorstep. haha

I’ll be wearing that shirt constantly. totally my style, plus, too awesome not to.
way hyped for this album to be shipped to my door now with my awesome obituary pack
I’m supposed to be saving this month since it’s like 5 of my friend’s birthday and they all want a vegas trip, but fuck it. I’d rather have more good music

Oh har, har.

Which question regarding the artwork…

Is the skull there purposely for the CL / APOS link or is it a coincidence?

I seriously think this could be the best thing since APOS.

Just busting your chops.

The skull is the APOS Music logo, no different than the “Q”.

It’s definitely up there.

I was wrong. Seeing the shirt in full, I’d definitely rock it. At first I thought it’d have the same effect as this tee:

That’s why I was hesitant Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Unless you’ve got a boob in the middle of your torso, I don’t think it’ll be a problem. LOL

Good to hear you back on the mic Kno, can’t wait to hear the rest of this.

I’ve just had abit of a defining moment with this song and I wanted to share it with ya’ll.

So, a while back some of ya’ll might remember that I said my grandad had just been diagnosed with kidney cancer and he was given 2 months to live. Right, so 5 weeks down the line and he’s still going, but he’s starting to struggle. On top of that, my uncle (my Dad’s younger brother and son to my grandad who’s dying) was diagnosed with bowel cancer a week to the day after my grandad.

Now, he goes into hospital for his operation today and basically, they think it’s spread so we know fuck all until after his op. Since he was diagnosed, there’s only been my dad and his other brother looking after my grandad who basically needs looking after 24/7 now, so my dad is off work and i’m living a half life that kinda rotates around work / gym / staying at grandads (which i’m happy as my mother is currently menopausal and making home life torture lol).

So, i’m a pretty closed off guy emotionally, and i’ve felt like I could use a good old cry for about a month now, but besides a few tears on the first evening, it just wouldn’t come. Right, so I found out today that my grandad’s girlfriend of 16 years (and closest thing i’ve ever had to a gran), who has been living in a home with dementia for the past year, died last night. Yeah, it just keeps getting worse.

So I was round my grandads earlier and shit just started getting really on top of me. I excused myself and got in the car, and started driving with the new single on. Now it felt nice driving around in the dark with that song on repeat so I decided to go for a drive and ended up going to Liverpool airport to watch some planes land, so I was sitting there laid back with the song on, and I just started crying, I don’t know why, it just started flooding out, and I feel like so much pressure and weight has been lifted now, I just got home and had to stick my laptop back on just to type this.

I just wanted to say thank you to the people involved with making this music which means so much to us all. I finally had an outlet, and it did me the world of good. Now I can back to work with dealing with it tomorrow.

QN5. Cheaper than a therapist.

Cheers guys. Very Happy

wait til you hear the rest of the album.. seriously. Rhythm of the Rain is a great song, but there are other songs that make me want to spontaneously bawl for no reason at times.. can’t imagine how it’d be if I were in your position.

I actually said when the release date was announced, which was around the time I found out about my grandad, I may struggle to listen for a while. I dont know what it was about the song, its not neccessarily a sad song but I guess it just had to happen at some point. Now, I cant play the first 10 seconds without welling up. I can see myself hating this album for a while for how its going to make me feel and then it’ll probabily end up one of my most prized possesions because of the emotions attatched to it.

I have used music as a way of coping since I was young so its all good, getting emotional is a very healthy thing to do. APOS has made me cry in the past but by the time of The Light its like the sun has come back out and all is right again in the world. APOS may be the most rewarding piece of art i’ve ever known come to think of it.

BOOM! Deluxe package ordered. Can’t wait for this shizz, Kno.. RoTR is SICK.

Hey man,

I just got back from visiting my uncle who’s battling myeloma (bone marrow cancer) while my grandfather’s been getting weaker and weaker ever since his stroke (he’s refused rehab/therapy for some reason (pisses me off kinda). It’s really taken a toll on my parents, over the past years they’ve pretty much become shells of the folks that raised me.

Death can do a lot of different things to people but the thing that really helps me is this perspective—Noone really knows what its like after you die, we do know for certain that this world is a struggle, that life is suffering.

Death is natural, everyone dies. I’m not saying that we should all be excited to die, but I don’t think we should be so negative about it either. When someone dies they are at peace and for me personally, I’m not afraid to die anymore. Maybe death is the best thing that happens to us. Death is enigmatic, to me its neither good nor bad.

The only thing we can do is accept it. Enjoy life for what it is and let the ones we love know we love them while we can. But we must always continue on with our own personal journey/struggle, until finally the bell tolls for us too.

I’m sorry about everything going on with your family and I do hope the music helps you tap into your emotions about it all.

Cheers dude!

I think it’ll be tough but I think it’ll be more rewarding than you think.

I can’t say I didn’t cry making it. There were some difficult songs to complete on this album.

There are no “babydoll tees” or women’s cuts, no. Just standard “t-shirt” sizes, but women buy Mooseshirt’s “S” all the time on tour. It’ll fit, it might just not be cut as sexy as she’d like it lol.

This shirt is the business.

I’m assuming the answer’s a no since it wasn’t mentioned.. but just to make sure.. the shirts aren’t being made with the soft/small-fit shirts like the CATM Fetuseahorse, etc. are they? Might need a larger size if so.
