For sure! It was legit… cept when the dood next to me almost hit Tonedeff with a beer cup. But yea, fly women, great performances….Loved when Kno called out the only guy who wasn’t gettin into it
Does the concert have mostly oneirology songs? Or a mixture from previous albums? Im going monday and cant wait. I absolutely love all their songs but a part of me is hoping their will be a good bit more oneirology songs since I am obsessed with this album.
^ I think there were only 3 Oneirology songs at the Brooklyn set. Though I was mad tired by then and may have missed a few. But I clearly remember how dope Darkness and Enemies w Benefits were.
Yeah they only did Predoritum, Stars Shine and Enemies with Benefits in SLC I was kinda hoping for Darkness and My Habit but whatever, it was the best night of 2011 I’ve had so far haha. They might change the lineup now that Tonedeff isn’t there though
Kno, Natti & Deac,
Man, we haven’t stopped talking about how cool it was that you guys kicked it after the Yuma show… totally worth going there after the LA show. Good looking out on playing some of the other songs for that show like My Habit, Mexico and Running Wild (unexpected). Can’t wait till we see yall again.
I am still recovering from my vacation… I had such an amazing time!
The San Francisco show was really awesome (relative to most SF shows)—a bunch of my friends bailed but I still wound up bringing about 7 people. I got a video of Tone doing Optimist which I’ll put up on youtube soon. Stayed up partying until about 5 am which totally destroyed me for the next day. Once we finally made it down to Santa Cruz, my man and I were so beat that we bitched out on the SC show. Lame, I know, but I don’t think I could have handled it. I drove down to the venue to sell our tickets (for face value, bunch of assholes selling tickets for something like $40 out front).
The LA show had a great turnout. As it seems to happen in LA there was one really shitty opening act. It didn’t seem like the bulk of the crowd was that into them. Once Tone went on though everyone was singing along with him, and after he finished about half the crowd left and went outside/to the bar. I’ve got a couple more videos of his set that I’ll put up as well. Tunji came out and did Rhythm of the Rain at the end of CL’s set. I was really hoping they were going to let him do Towards the Future, or at least Not at the End, but it didn’t happen.
JLee and I happened to be standing right where Toby and his wife were standing so we hung out with them all night. They are fucking awesome. Also I got to talk to Homeboy Sandman a little bit at both the SF and LA shows and he’s one of the nicest dudes ever.
The next day we went to the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA and saw this street art/graffiti exhibit called Art in the Streets. It was THE coolest art exhibit I’ve ever been to. Even saw a print there that I bought at a graffiti exhibit in SF.
Props to JLee for doing the trip with us, letting us crash at his place, and also for making it to the Santa Cruz show after staying up hella late to party after the SF show.

I didn’t think they were that shitty….I mean it seemed like they had decent flow, just the fact that you could barely hear what they were sayin and their beats sounded very similar made it hard to get into it. I never heard what their group was called, anyone know? I’d like to at least give em a chance to see what they actually talk about…Tone was crazy and Cunnin tore it up, great night. It seemed to me like people didn’t really know what Blue Sky Black Death were all about, and it unfortunately seemed like not many people really appreciated what they were puttin out which is sad cuz they made some nice relaxing shit.

This was fucking AWSOME!! Highlight of the year for me.. Thanks again fellas
Just spent the last hour and a bit trawling through videos on Youtube, looks like it was an amazing tour alright. Here’s hoping you guys get to Australasia by the end of the year… right?
