CunninLynguists Vote for Oneirology, let them know they slept on a classic album!

The Tens has released a Mid-2011 Top 10 album list. CL missed the Top 10 but apparently made the runner-up list.

The list has been featured on 2DBZ (http://www.2dopeboyz.com/2011/06/20/the-tens-the-10-best-albums-of-the-first-half-of-2011/) and I feel like we should all vote the crap out of Oneirology to let them know that Frank Ocean did not belong on that list, CL did!!!!!! Please vote for Oneirology and when you “View Results” you are able to leave a comment like “Oneirology > Frank Ocean’s life”

Here’s the link to vote (Poll is at the bottom): http://thewellversed.com/2011/06/20/the-tens-the-10-best-albums-of-the-first-half-of-2011/

VOTE A LOT!

Unfortunately it’ll only let you vote once though.

I’m not sure if I agree with some of those albums on the list

Voted. I need to catch up on a lot of this year’s music…

what’s a Pusha T?

^ LOL I heard him from Kanye’s last album I think and that’s it, but he has no business beating out CL. voted!

Lol Pusha T was in the Neptune’s VA based group The Clipse with his actual brother Malice. Hasn’t done anything in like 8 years that comes even remotely close to anything CL has done tho haha this is an easy vote

Not saying Pusha’s mixtape holds a candle to Oneirology but you guys seriously don’t know Pusha T!!!??

Voted for Oneirology even though i really like the Bad Meets Evil project alot! but Oneirology can play straight through every single time. With BME theres just a handful of tracks that i just play over and over again. So CL def gets my vote! Superb job on the album fellas.

You know it’s great to support your favorite artists, but why do you have to look down on someone else while doing so? This is part of the reason most people can’t stand underground hip-hop fans. Cunninlynguist released a brilliant album. Frank Ocean and Pusha T released amazing (IMO, and in the opinions of many people as well) albums too. Posting something like “Oneriology >>> Frank Ocean’s life” just comes off as bitter and lame and makes people more reluctant to check out Cunninlynguists.

The irony of you calling out one of OUR fans as “lame” for dissing a member of OFWGKTA—who currently hold claim to the hands-down most obnoxious, overtly negative, shit-talking, dickriding fanbase in all of underground rap—is quite chuckle-inducing to me.

Yeah, you should understand my point then…

Besides, when does fanbase ever reflect the merits of the artist. The Eminem fanbase in general is awful as well but I’m not gonna start acting as if Eminem isn’t one of the greatest to have done it because 80% of his fans are ignorant.

I was partly kidding about Frank Ocean’s life being less valuable than Oneirology (maybe not though) but really you shouldn’t call me out. I’m not an underground hip-hop fan, I’m a fan of all hip-hop and many other genres.

I listened to Frank Ocean’s album, it was alright. The Weeknd’s ‘House of Balloons’ was MUCH better. To me, Frank Ocean sounds like some dude trying to be Ryan Leslie but with a slightly better voice and MUCH less talent. He isn’t even really part of OFWGKTA , I think whoever is invested in that group just tacked him on and asked them to let him be part of their gang. To me, OFWGKTA is a shock-rap gimmick and has shown few signs of substance, but I’m not hating on them or their fans. I just don’t think it belongs near anyone’s top-anything list.

Please don’t paint people as something just because that’s the only way your brain can process them. I’m glad you thought ‘Nostalgia…Ultra’ was amazing, but I did not. Give it a 6.5 out of 10, a nice nearly-solid debut, but nothing special. I look forward to whatever he’s doing with Nas, but that’s just because its Nas.

In other news, great work so far guys/gals. At this pace, we will definitely win and CL is the only group with people leaving comments to show support.

Keep voting! Once-a-day per computer!

I haven’t heard any of those albums but I’d bet the house (..that I’m closing on in a month or so, yay) that Oneirology shits on all of them… hard.

How’s that for an “underground hip hop fan”?

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

PS. I do hold Killer Mike in the highest of regard, though.. his collabo with El-P will be insane.

We doubled our votes in 2 days, 30 more votes and we’ll be in the running with the leaders.

Keep up the good work, only takes 5 seconds a day!

I voted Oneirology of coarse but that Pl3dge album is no joke. I already like it better than Pledge II. Glad to see that Curren$y tape on the list too. I feel like “underground hip hop fans” don’t really give Curren$y a chance. As for OFWGKTA, Frank Ocean is aight but nothing amazing. I’m just glad Goblin isn’t anywhere near that list. That album was trash.

Voted for Oneirology and going to vote again when I get home. I’m really surprised that Atmosphere’s “The Family Sign” doesn’t have more votes for it though. Other than Oneirology that is definitely my favorite album on that list (though I haven’t quite heard all of them).

i got my vote in

15 votes from first place, already locked in at 2nd, ahead of XV by 1 vote!!!

I work in a lab, about to put in a vote on each computer haha.

Sorry, but a top ten list is essentially doing the same thing, without blatantly saying it.
that list basically says “These 10 albums >>> the albums that didn’t make the list” so I don’t get what the big deal is. If someone’s opinion is that one artist is better than another or an album is better than another, they’re entitled to it and I’m sure everyone has the same types of opinions about other artists/albums than you. And thats not just underground hip hop fans, thats fans of every single genre, people will always have favorites and rank them over other people….

and status update, 12 votes away Smile

We’re all tied up. Good call, Trashman.

winning by one now

Winning by 12 already, I just voted again from home. Thanks for helping everyone. QN5 fans always do great with polls, when I saw CL listed I knew we could pull it off.

Hopefully some new fans will see that poll and check it out. Oneirology is a classic, top 5 if not the best album so far this year.

still good to know for future polls, no need to use it on this one though.

way to go evry one!!!
wher on top 20 votots more and wher 200 +/-

6% lead / 75 votes over 2nd.

out of their top ten, i’ve heard a few. found adele and radiohead’s new ones a little disappointing.
Pharohe Monch & Random Axe’s albums were good.

Curren$y’s joint with The Alchemist was ok, but i find Curren$y annoying as hell.

and Big KRIT’s Returnof4eva and Elmatic were brilliant. Elmatic especially - i’d go as far to say it’s as good as Oneirology

I like Elmatic, but I just don’t see the point of it. I’d rather listen to Illmatic instead of someone else rapping over Illmatic instrumentals.

Haven’t been around much recently, but I just did my part Smile
