‘Mos Def’ if we’re talking hip-hop artist collab, and ‘Janelle MonĂ¡e’ if we mean singer-songwriter collab. To be honest though, (all hypothetically speaking) - I would need album theme and “what particular song needs a collab” before making a decision.
An all-star production team comprising Aria Jalali (railcars), Trent Reznor, Guy Sigsworth (Frou Frou), Clint Mansell and Walls-era Apparat.
Curtis Roads can executive produce / contribute additional textures.
AND THEN
Guest appearances by
+ Robert Del Naja on that seething, anti-establishment tip.
+ Mike Deni (Geographer) on background vocals.
+ Florence Welch on looking pretty (but then also talent).
Two months after the original release, a double-disc remix album will drop with The Glitch Mob handling production on Version A, and The National performing acoustic instrumental covers on version B.
-Anna Wise (a singing duet, or you can just rap a little and have her be beautiful for the rest.. I can already hear a song forming in my head)
-Atmosphere (the group, not just Slug)
-Black Panther production
-Blue Scholars/Geo
-BSBD
-Budo on the horns
-collab w/Deacon over Deacon production
-Dessa (singing/rapping/both/whatever)
-Gorillaz (it’d be an insta-classic single ala Clint Eastwood, Feel Good Inc. - and awesomely animated!)
-collab w/iCON (rapping this time ) over some crazy production by Kno/you/Ricky Raw/S.2/Deacon/whoever makes the illest banger
-collab w/Kno over a headfuck Tonedeff beat.. or headfuck Tone/Kno production collab.. or over BSBD
-Kokayi, a sentimental track - rapping or singing - piano necessary
-Portishead (rappity raps or singing)
-production by the Stuyvesants
-collab with Stan/Bop Alloy
-Toby!!
-and/or Tunji!!
-and Tori.. cuz you know you wanna.
...oh, and Tone + Kno over the beautiful “Still With Me (Remix)” beat. I’d REALLY like to see that happen. No disrespect to Jermiside & Deacon, cuz they made that song a classic.. but that instrumental.. GOD.. I know you and Kno could go off on that.
Scanning through the facebook, twitter, and forum, I loved these suggestions:
TV On The Radio
Gorillaz
Skrillex seems to be a polarizing figure, but I think that would sound awesome
Pretty Lights
All of the really dirty/vinyl crazy + drum break “instrumental hip hop” suggestions…Reanimator, Blockhead, the guys on Fieldwerk Recordings, etc.
Apparat
The only rapper I really want to hear with Tone is Homeboy Sandman.
Also, I’m not sure why Lex Luger is a joke, that would actually probably sound cool
Prince Paul
Andre Nickatina
Kool Keith
Too Poetic (If he’s Grym Reaping)
Dan the Automator
Goodie Mob (or anyone in the Dungeon)
Dirty (“fer teh lulz”)
Justin Pearson
Koji Kondo
YTCracker (once again “fer teh lulz”)
Please don’t fall into the horrible bubble that is currently bursting called dubstep.
All I’m saying is Tonedeff is a dapper looking fellow. He should go to the modeling school for handsome young males. And become an administrator for a semester.
Childish gambino would be a good artist for tone to collab with. And Omar Linx! He rapped over some dubstep beats with zeds dead that goes pretty hard.

My cousin works for Del Naja and on numerous occasions ive mentioned how dope a collabo between Massive Attack and Tone would be. Obviously nothing has been done about it so far but there’s always hope..
My suggestions:
Louis Logic (is this happening on *5?)
Dessa
Slug, produced by Kno
Personally I’d like to see tone work with more different producers. No disrespect to the dream team that is QN5 production (Kno, Tone, Koke, Deacon, Domingo). I don’t think tone needs other rappers as guests, especially beyond the extended QN5 family.
My wish list for production would be very long but just off the top (in no order):
RJD2
Algorithm
9th Wonder
Pete Rock
Diplo
Prince Paul &/or Dan the Automater
Madlib
Premo
Jazzy Jeff
No ID
Stoupe
Ant
Dangermouse
Large Professor (does he still do stuff?)
Q-Tip
Beck (or other similar rock producers)
Musiq Soulchild/John Legend/Cody Chesnutt (or other similar r&b producers)
