Yes please please please do this tone. They would definitely sell especially after CATM comes out and people realize you are incredible. I missed the (hopefuly) first wave of 500. I will be a free promoter and get as many people as I can to buy it (not that you’d need the help)
I never posted much here, but I was just randomly checking the forum and felt I had to drop a message..
First time I heard tone was on Bobbito’s show (fall ‘00??) Damn 11 yrs. ago, where the fuck has my life gone? I became an instant fan because I was and still am a fan of raw lyricists. tone’s syllable game was super precise and flow was other worldly.
I followed tone’s music and website very closely up until about ‘06. I always checked for other Qn5 artists, but in all honesty, I only did so because I wanted to hear another verse from tone. No offense to anyone else on the label, its just that tone’s lyrics and flow were mindblowing to me and more my style. Around that time, probably because of tone’s lack of solo output, I stopped paying attention to the website and didn’t follow the label as closely.
Fast forward to 2010 at the closing of Fat Beats, which was a very somber moment for myself. I’ve always bought cd’s and vinyl and seeing my favorite record store close hit me hard. It was that one standing monument from the golden era of NYC underground. Unfortunately many artists from that period are no longer recording ofr they have moved on to other things in life. Many people said it was the end of an era, but I felt as if it was a relic left over from an era that ended 7-8 yrs. prior. However, an amazing moment came from it - I see tone perform and kick one of the most ridiculous verses I’ve ever heard in my life. That, coupled with the fact that Pack’s album was the last album I bought at FB (aoty material), my faith in Qn5 had been reborn.
I would tune into qn5.com more regularly, but with the talk of the label possibly shutting down, everything felt very surreal and depressing and I tryed to tune it out and pretend I didnt read that. Fast forward again to 2 months ago, I check the site and find out I had missed the sickest Mega Show of all time.
I guess what Im tryin to say in this post is that Im not tones “best” fan, I havent always been there for him or the label, but this is just the story of someone who loves tones music. Maybe Im a fairweather jackass or maybe theres many others like me, I dunno, but I know that I dont ever wanna miss out on something dope that qn5s got in the works. Thanks.

I’m listening now and I feel like I’ve been holding my breath for the past 6 years and I can finally exhale by releasing all this new music. Thanks in advance to all the AURALARIANS (you know who you are) who stuck by me through my “silent” period. You will be VERY happy in 2012. Hollerate.

I love these updates. 2012 is tone’s year. Hope he gets the recognition he deserves.
Thanks for the thoughts as ever tone, it’s really great to hear from you!
You’ve put out shitloads of awesome music despite what sounds like rediculous difficulty with the industry etc - it’s always great to see your name on something so keep on trucking if that’s what you want, just remember not to let it stress you! Looking forward to anything you got planned, best of luck with everything man.
Your mcing and music will always be really special stuff, love your cold killed collection so much dopeness there, or i would if i wasn’t all fucked up lol. Either way I know greatness when I hear it, should post some more later. Eagerly await anything else from you and your label, qn5’s put out so much SPECIAL AS FUCK stuff and you gotta know from dudes who appreciate you sitting there holding it all together, thanks a lot! In fact fuck that sounds like you done rediculous shit to keep qn5 going and support your dudes hombre so yeah just know you one awesome cat and there’s a lot of dudes out here who love it peace.
Another short speech like this from tone would be nice right about now. I know the silence more than likely means he’s getting alot done, but still, his little updates makes the waiting alot easier.
