It’s one thing for him to complain that it was hard to run a record label in 2003 but for him to use it as an excuse for not releasing music in 2011 and keep complaining about it is just ridiculous. Putting out music is easy as fuck, he releases 2 songs a year and spends more time complaining than he does putting out music.
The complaints about distribution are fucking ridiculous… if you really want physical copies just sell them in the QN5 store and mail them yourself. It’s 2011, nobody is gonna randomly wander into a CD store and go hmmm Tonedeff, maybe this is good I should buy it. No. Your core fan base is gonna go out of their way to buy your album if they want to buy it, that’s how it works in 2011. That’s all the sales that your’e gonna get.
Also, don’t promise fans things and not deliver. It’s a bad look when it becomes not only a consistent thing, but a thing that happens 100% of the time.
Step 1 Make a promise
Step 2 Work Hard
Step 3 ????
Step 4 Profit
I’ll give you a hint, step 3 isn’t “don’t deliver on promise and come up with excuses”
i forgot this is the QN5 forum, the land of stans, lollipops and rainbows where u can’t say anything negative against a QN5 artist even though it’s true
lol the title was funny though, I thought it was going to actually be about his failure to adjust to the times, like he’s too into stuff from the 80’s or something. still wearing members only.

No different then if I was to walk into your house and just start talking shit about you. This is a message board for the fans. Of course we’re going to call you out when running your mouth about something you have no clue about.
Yeah we are Stans, hence why we went out of our way to join this website and contribute to the forums, supporting our favorite artists in the world. SInce your picture is of Slaughterhouse, I’ll use them as an example. If i went to the Slaughterhouse forums and started talking shit about them, the other people on the forums would bitch me out.
We’re Stans and we’re fucking proud. Go kiss Royce Da 5’9"s ass and get out of here.
Yeah. I jump in on the bash fest. Fuck you and your lame ass no-name status. You want ro come to a website that Tonedeff personally pays for domain rights just to talk shit on him? I’ll paraphrase him so that he doesn’t have to.
You start a record label. You put out hundreds of records that push the creative boundaries of hip-hop. You try being an executive producer, producer, sound engineer, lyricist, singer, fastest rapper alive, touring musician, husband and human being without lashing out at other people for your own selfish pandering. Little bit more difficult than what you’re doing huh?
People like you make me sick. Unappreciative. Whiny. Self entitled. Douche bag.
1) Unless you run a label (im assuming you don’t) you have absolutely no room to talk, regardless of you opinion.
2) Tonedeff has the decision to be a musician or not to be a musician. “2 songs a year” and patiently waiting for future beautiful music is a million times better than having no tonedeff at all. It’s quite simple.

Someone clearly doesn’t understand the first thing about the music business let alone the underground hip hop music business. Tone I’m gonna assume isn’t trying to stay in the confines of the Qn5 fan base, he’s bigger than that and has enough talent to surpass the confines of it. He also runs a label and probably handles most of the projects the label releases in one way or the other. You my good sir, need to get your facts straight before you start saying how easy things are.
