I just thought, a double disc would be really dope for their next album. They can do it Speakerboxxx/Love Below style but with 1 disc of Kno production with guests from his past, Jugga, Cashmere, etc. and the other disc with Deacon beats and the KY affiliates. All CL members should be on both discs though.

deac doesn’t really do production as part of CL. that seems to be kno’s domain when it comes to the group.
although i can see something big happening when they start making music again (in, say, a year) after all this time on what effectively is hiatus.

Too early to call it a hiatus, but they could be making plans for their next projects.

Deac doesn’t need to produce all the songs on half of the hypothetic double disc album. But I disagree that Deacon isn’t known for producing CL songs. Kno does a lot more of the production but Deacon has been producing all along.

Then The Source will be forced to make the quotables a six-page foldout.

For real. I wish I could go on a European tour and have people call it a hiatus lol. But a double disc CL album couldn’t possibly be a bad thing.

5 albums. A solo record. 2 projects with other artists. 4 mixtapes.
11 years.
Plus more in the works now.

I don’t know when this hiatus is/was, but I will say that from a fan’s perspective, it’s the best damn hiatus ever.

Also, I like the idea of a double LP from them. Not necessarily production/features vs “more traditional album” but something with them playing with the concept of an album in two parts. Like a very serious/very fun album. Or a pt. 2 album with a second disc being a direct response to the first.
