Substantial :: Official ‘Home Is Where The Art Is’ Discussion Thread ::

I’m getting excited for this. Substantial records always seem to have a unique vibe from the rest of his works and there’s never a “bad” one. I’ve really been digging his Bop Alloy stuff lately, and I’m getting hyped to see what him and Oddisee cook up with this new record. I’ve seen him mention a final photoshoot and working on the cover art recently and I’m hoping we get some kinda announcement soon. can’t wait!

so Im guessing this means the album is done? Ah man I been sleepn…Yeah bop alloy was like a breath of fresh air…Oddisee (to me) has always had pretty good production skills..Imagining what him and stan can create are what dreams are made of.

Damn man, Stan is a machine.

Just because I like you guys, I’ll share a LITTLE something with y’all that I haven’t posted yet.

Get familiar w/ this man: Romain Jacquet-Lagreze http://www.romainjl.net/ He illustrated the new album cover.

Stay tuned.

Dude

Sick man

I can tell y’all, the cover is GORGEOUS. I don’t see many album covers these days that could double as works of art, but this one… man…

I feel like I’ll be spending a lot of money that I don’t have on QN5 this year…
The life of a broke-ass college student

So it turns out this album will be dropping through Mello Music Group rather than QN5… interesting.

indeed

where’d you get that from? haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere else.

^^^ Ditto. I checked the site and found no mention

Isn’t that Oddisee’s label (or at least the label he is on)? If that’s the case, with him being executive producer, perhaps it’s just being released under both imprints.

From someone who heard the album while we were in Japan——Ya’ll ain’t even close to ready.

In my humble opinion, by far the best performance Stan has done on the mic for a project. Beats were nice, great variety, and man - Stan kills it.

I see the release date has been anounced as September 4th, tracklisting and cover art to be out in the next week or so!

Pre-orders are up!
I’m diggin that album artwork

Just pre ordered. I’m so excited for this album. I still play Sacrifice and To This Union A Sun Was Born all the time.

Any chance it will be available on Amazon? international shipping rates for both of those sites are expensive.

Yeah shipping is damn expensive to NZ from those sites. Maybe we could sus out some combined shipping classic.. get at me on Facebook if you’re interested.

Sounds good but I dont use facebook.

It will be available on Amazon as well. Pre-Orders are now also available on hhv.de: http://bit.ly/LzhnOh

Stay tuned for more updates.

So I’m guessing there won’t be one directly from you Stan? Would have loved to get an autographed copy (doesn’t even need to be a super mega deluxe edition like DIS or Robots & Dinosaurs).

Working on it. I’ll keep you posted.

For those of you who missed it last week, here’s the link to my appearance on Hip Hop Philosophy Radio where they played “Umoja” produced by Oddisee from my new album “Home Is Where The Art Is” at the top of the show. There’s also an interview w/ me at the end of the show. http://soundcloud.com/acthepd42/07-16-12-hiphopphilosophy

Check it out and don’t forget to pre-order the album: http://wp.me/p1261D-kh

Im really excited for this album, extremely excited to hear those 4 tracks with odd tho

Thanks guys!

Just checked and i’m really digging it. Got high hopes for the album.

Since I lost my commenting privilege in the “Check My Resume” blog, due to me trying to reply while listening to the song, I’ll just say it here. That song is dope.
