General Discussion What gigs have you been to this year?

Okay so seeing as I have a busy month of gigs, it got me thinking as to all the people I’d seen this year and to try and judge it opposed to who I saw last year. I would be interested to see who else other people have seen and also how busy people are on an average year.

(2012)

So far:

Bonobo (x2)
Rammstein
Jehst
Four Owls
Ed Solo
Homeboy Sandman
Brother Ali
Pharoahe Monch
Laid Blak
Nickleback
SBTRKT

Soon:

Immortal Technique
Submotion Orchestra
Little Dragon
Caravan Palace

Damn, you’ve been busy !

My memory is terrible and I’m not sure if I have been to any show this year or if it was last year…

Pretty big names for a slow year.

It was fuckin insane and one of the best shows I’ve been to in a while

Me and Timo (Epic) went to see Immortal Technique w/ Poison Pen & Suave Sevah last week. Shit was wild. IT has an unreal stage presence.

Saw Gotye last night. Really talented guy, great live performance. Never really knew his music before, but was really impressed. Recommend people to see him if they get the chance.

I saw murs & fashawn about 2 months ago , they kicked it after the show as well, real down to earth guys, got a picture with fashawn & murs signed a couple CDs and t-shirts I had

I haven’t been to any concerts this year yet, but I am going to see Big Boi and Killer Mike on June 9th.

Got tickets for the Saturday of Wireless in London in July:

Jay Z
Emili Sande
Calvin Harris
Rita Ora
Kendrick Lamar

and the one I’m really looking forward to, Macklemore and Lewis.

It looks like it’s gonna be another good year for gigs..

So Far

Kendrick Lamar
Black Light Burns (been wanting to see Wes Borland since I was 10)
Deftones
Louis CK (not music, but still..)

At Some Point

Masta Ace
Bonobo
THE MEGASHOW!

Maybe?

Daft Punk are releasing a new album! They are on my ‘must see live’ list and chances are they’ll tour or I’ll pony up to travel and see them.

So far this year:

Adventure Club
UZ & Birdy Nam Nam
Louis Logic
Sigur Ros
Calvin Harris
Bingo Players
Excision, Dirtyphonics, Paper Diamond, Vishis
ASOT 600 in NYC (Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schultz & Ferry Corsten, W&W, Alex M.O.R.P.H.)

To come:
RL Grimes, The National, XX & Grizzly Bear, Markus Schultz, Alesso, Ferry Corsten & Tritonal (maybe), and possibly James Blake. Oh and the Megashow of course

BTW what do you guys use to keep track of concerts? I use Songkick and I’m FB fans of a lot of artists but I still feel like I may be missing out on stuff.

Bonobo gearing up for his show with a live band. If ANYONE has a chance to see the Live set…DO IT. I saw it a few years ago, and it was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen.

Sigur Ros today, so excited!

FlyLo is coming to philly in a few weeks, seriously considering that one.

The Trashman said:FlyLo is coming to philly in a few weeks, seriously considering that one.

Do it, I’ve seen him twice live, never regretted it.

I think Immortal Technique is also playing philly soon as well. Prolly drive over for those two shows.

onilink said:Sigur Ros today, so excited!

sigur ros was fucking amazing

Yes it was, it was such an amazing live performance last night. All my favorite songs got played, pure bliss. The production and effects made it like a broadway show, insane.

Saw Dessa last month aaaand… yeahhhh… I might be seeing Pearl Jam in July out in Chicago with some family. Then of course the Megashow in August. That’s all I’ve really got planned show-wise.
