Substantial L’Orange

Just started listening to this fellow’s music about a month ago and it just clicked with me that he’s with Mello Music Group. I really love some of his stuff from The Mad Writer, Old Soul and The Orchid Days. Would be pretty cool to see a collaboration with Stan some day I think.

I’m a huge L’Orange fan, and this would be amazing. A full album with those two would be fantastic. I’d be content with one track though. I shouldn’t be greedy Smile

What about The City Under the City though?... did you listen to that? The production on their is bananas.

Cosigned - L’Orange is incredible. I think a QN5 collab would be perfect, not just because of his sound but because of his artistic vision. Like all of QN5’s artists, he seems to be really conscious about the cohesiveness and overall sound of his projects.
It think that Stan, Deac and Natti would sound especially dope over L’Orange’s production.

(Totally missed this thread…)
Substantial has worked with yU, yU’s worked with L’Orange, seems like they could connect somehow, perhaps….? if Substantial AND yU did a song with L’Orange that would be like an audible pot of gold to me

Their title track for “The Mad Writer” is one of my top 3 L’Orange songs, along with “Alone” with Blu and “Femme Fatale” with Erica Lane.

SHIT IS HOT SON!

L’Orange is incredible. The production on his album with Stik Figa is just pure gorgeous.

by the way, go check out yU from The Mad Writer track. he’s a member of Diamond District with Oddisee and XO, but his solo stuff is the best - The Earn and Before Taxes are excellent cover to cover. he’s recently done an album as a duo called The 1978ers. yU did all the rhymes and it’s entirely produced by his friend Slimkat.

Ianism, what is the sound on the new album like? What kind of beats does Slimkat make? yU is dope, glad to see him getting love on here.

Just grabbed a couple of L’Orange vinyls as a gift for myself for the holidays, got The Orchid Days on orange vinyl and “Alone” w/ Blu on 7” import. His smoky old-school instrumentals sound great on wax.

Glad to see other people appreaciating L’Orange, one of my favourite producers out now
