I got a Masochist ringtone, a Let’s Go ringtone, a Case Closed ringtone, and a Spicdonald’s ringtone on my phone.. Masochist and Spicdonalds are both for my girl, it really just depends on what mood I’m in.
If you have any of the newest LG phones, you can email/send yourself any mp3 ringtone for free. You just need a splitter, and a converter. Convert the mp3 to 64 kbps and 22 khz, then simply rename from .mp3 to .mid. That way you don’t have to pay 2-5 bucks for a ringer that sounds like my anus making noise. Plus you can pick your fav 20-30 secs of your latest jam. I’m not sure if you can do this on other phones (motorola, nokia, etc.) but if you have one of the newest LGs hit it up.
Just google your phone and free ringtones and see if it supports it. Most phones have forums just like these QN5 forums devoted to information on the phone. If you have Verizon you can just email the song to yourself and viola, QN5 on your phone.
I got a cable that connects to my phone. My phone recognizes various file types (mp3, wav, wma, midi, etc.), so I just fucks with a track in Soundforge and boom… new ringtone.

I have a new LG 4050 phone and tried using that process with the website http://www.coolservice.dk, which i usually use to upload midis to my phone. the only difference in conversion was that my file was 64 kbps and 22050 hz instead of 22 khz. i saved the file as a .mid and attempted to upload it, but near the end of the process my phone gave me a message saying “this page cannot be displayed” or something along those lines. this happened to me before when i attempted to upload mp3s to my phone. does anybody know what i’m doing wrong? are there any other free upload websites i should try? i really want to be able to personalize my ringtones. thanks.

First, I think your phone might not support mp3s. It says on a spec sheet that it only has 40 chord ringtones. You have to have a decent amount of memory available too. I only know that this works on LG models 7xxx and 8xxx only. Not sure about any other models.

i got the sony ericsson k700i, and i just play the track i want as ringtone loud as fuck, while recording it on the cell. makes it sound good cause tone’s voice is peaking and it tracks hella attention.
