yeah I was suprised to see that. i don’t know whats up with the boulder/denver promoters not bookin the show there. anyway. that TBA show that is the next night will hopefully be another CO show in a closer area. but if i have to go to glenwood, ill go to glenwood. a 3 hour drive is worth the effort to see QN5.

Word…it’s DEFINITELY worth it. Any of you lurkers reading, or newbies not too sure what’s going on because you’re doing Alegbra 1 homework so you don’t fail out of the 9th grade LISTEN UP! Support by hitting one of the shows up. There’s quite a few people from the West Coast ALONE that flew in for Megashow 2005…and I know of even MORE going this year…so get your asses to a show…even if you have work and are going to be a half hour-hour late…just GO!
If I can take a red-eye from Seattle to NYC I don’t see why people can’t ride in the car for a few hours. They’ll be the ones complaining later. This doesn’t happen often so do whatever it takes to attend.

Man…I don’t ever post here…but reading some of y’alls reactions to the qn5 tour routing infuriates me. So lemme let y’all in on some things.
When heads tour they dont just throw darts at a map and say “hey we’re gonna do a show there!!!!” Nah it doesn’t work like that. What we do is venue and promoter research and then we have to essentially beg someone to pay us to come rap in your town. Not a fun process. In fact moreoften it’s a reality check on how much the game doesn’t change we just get older.
So as a result I honestly CANNOT STAND when somebody is like “why didn’t you come to…..” or “you should come to….” If your favorite act hasn’t come to where you live at and you just sit and complain about it you’re part of the problem. Don’t just be like…come to my town…find out who is throwing shows in your damn town and bring some information. Get your friends to bug this local promoter about QN5 until they’re like “yo these guys must be on to something.” This is ideal because it puts the touring artist in a better position with more bargaining power.
Promoters need to know your favorite artist exists. Part of what they do when they are approached with a tour is canvas the local stores to find out how much the artist sold in the area or they ask their peer groups if they’ve heard of said artists….
Basically if QN5 wasn’t able to come to your town…you’re essentially not doing your jobs as fans and then being like “yo what the fuck?!” when they post a 16 date routing with several large geographical holes.
Look at a map and then look at those dates…nobody sets out to make a haphazard touring schedule like that. I wasn’t apart of the setup of this tour at all but from my experience I’m guessing that this routing is the best tour possible after MONTHS the correspondence of promoters trying to shortchange them with bullshit shows and again those of you who are talking bout “oh I can’t make it…” YOU ARE NOT DOING YOUR JOBS AS FANS.
Some of these promoters believe they are taking a substantial risk booking this show and by your not coming out to the show YOU ARE PROVING THEM RIGHT. You’re thinking “oh I’ll go to the next one.” Guess what THERE WON’T BE A NEXT ONE IF NO ONE COMES. Fuck you mean an hour is too far? What you know about riding a greyhound bus for 31 hours? NOTHING.
QN5 does not have a booking agent, they put this together themselves. They are a grassroots movement. If it is to continue to flourish you guys as fans need to get more on the ball. Buy the records in stores that matter. Play the music for and talk it up to your friends. Stop trying to make PackFM, Tonedeff, Cunninlynguists, Mecca, etc your personal private artists. Or put your money where YOUR mouth is and get your friends together and start your own show promotions (just make sure you do that shit right). Stop complaining and start fuckin helping. This is muhfucka’s livelihoods at stake.
