unfortuntely ive done all i can….and yall dont know how baaaaaaddddlllly i wanna be there…ive never been to a qn5 nor to any other show for that matter….but if anyone records this event or takes pics or w/e be sure to keep me posted….
so folks I am the one helping to put this show together. The shows is $10 b4 10pm and $12 after 10pm. People have been inquiring like mad so get there early for tickets which may sell out fast,
The neighborhood is not the best but its on the outer edge of the grimmy stuff so its pretty cool
I was up front the hole time rockin to every song. I came to see Session,Pack and Tone. So I knew most of their material. I wasn’t the biggest CL fan before the show but I will definately be purchasing their stuff sometime soon.
Overall the show was dope with Session opening with a bang. DON’T DO IT TO YOURSELF!!!
Pack FMs set was nice also. The spraypaint was hella creative and Stomp got the place hyphy!! That freestyle shit was impressive!!
Tonedeff(No spaces!!!) was rediculous!! His breath controll is crazy. Tone and Pack have great chemisrty on stage. His set was high energy except for Porceline. Hot shit. I was a lil upset he didn’t perform Issawn or Lets Go but it was still dope.
CL did there thing. But like I said before I didn’t know much of there music so wasn’t on some verbatim shit when they peformed. I showed them love but got a lil tired after Tonedeffs set. I am now a CL fan.
I lost my voice during line drop and Fuck you I rhyme better. I was yelling @ the top of my lungs. When you guys coming back to Oakland? J/K Great show!!!!!!

RECAP
So I came through to the show with one of my floormates around 8:30….
They said opening acts were at 9, but I knew it had to start later but I figured what the fuck…
I’m chillin there, pre-show I meet DWilli, PretendGirl, Chris, and T-Master…
Okwerdz had earlier came to where I was sittin to promote his free mixtape…and later I met tone and pack
Show opens with Okwerdz, the crowd for the most part wasn’t too into it but I thought his fight song was pretty dope….After his set, which was 2.5 songs, the DJ comes back and I’m sittin there ready for QN5
But I learn that there is one more opening act, who I won’t name because they are some lame ass punks…
But they didn’t follow Okwerdz, for some reason they decided to wait like half an hour before comin on stage….I don’t know why they thought they were super special, but for the most part, their opening act (which was WAY too long) was wack…I only didn’t hate one song….
The best part of their set was where PretendGirl gained gully status by telling them to get off the stage cause she wanted QN5….The guy decided to go straight to his final song after that….
Ok fuck all that, here is where the show starts….
DJ Hyphen gets on stage, I’m front row next to my friend, Andrew
Session comes out and performs this song off his New Money mixtape (which I picked up that night, along with *1) called “Get out my Way”
He’s literally spittin right in front of me….
Now usually when I go to events like sports games or shit like that, I don’t get excited, but I was amped and was yellin/jumpin along the whole night
Session kills it next with a couple more songs (Don’t Do It and another I can’t remember cause so much happened)
Next was PackFM who opens with the 06 Preview and goes into the dark for click clack spray (see D’s picture for the badassness of the set)
I never heard it before it was dope….
Sometime during the set, this really hyper weird guy got to the front and was jumpin around next to me acting hella funny and he was doing shit like grabbing pack’s chain whenever pack was near and tried poppin his collar every 3 seconds….it was odd…..he did that to some other QN5 artists also….
Stomp was fan-fuckin-tastic, and so was the rest of the shit…The crowd was pretty damn into Forevershine [I’LL SHINE!]
Next was Tone and of course I was excited to finally see the fast rappin….for up to now, I thought his vocals were sped up….haha
He did a lot of songs, which I can’t remember the order, but especially dope was when he pulled the two girls up for perverts, cause one of them was shakin nicely right in front of me….Tone almost broke his foot from a wet spot on stage, but the man he is, pulled through it
Tone performing Ridiculous is just that. Period.
After makin us laugh with the Mike Jones game using PretendGirl’s name and him and Pack havin a salsa-off, there was Case Closed, Velocity and Porcelain….
CL up next and they surprised the shit outta me. I still don’t know too much of Natti, but dude is dope. Kno is a funny guy and the whole set was the shit because it covered shit from WRFF to APOS. Thugged out Since Cub Scouts was nicely done….They performed a shit load of songs, all dope, I was especially feelin America Loves Gangstas…
They performed the longest, and when it was over, I quickly went to the merch table to go pick up Sess’s mixtape and *1 from Phayde [pretty damn chill], and I see that while I turned around, Tone Pack and Sess got on stage and were doing line drop….I ran my ass back to the front of the stage and was vibin, when they went into FYIRB
I was wearing my FYIRB shirt and was pumped, then all of a sudden, Kno pulls me on stage to show of my badass t-shirt and have me yell into the mic…..pretty badass I must say
The show was dope. It was ridiculously ill.
Afterwards, I got my hat signed by all the artists, except session who signed the mixtape cover….
We [me, my friend, Dave, and PretendGirl] chilled with them for a while [Kno’s a funny guy in real life also!]
Dave gave me a ride home, and the night was the shit.
If there is a show near you, you have to go. There is no way it is NOT worth it…
yo i was there shit was off the hook i loved the ef@mm encore. qn5 really does have a chill ass lineup you guys are all funny and down to earth and shit and you know how to rock a fuckin crowd if you guys come anywhere near norcal again i’m there and im brinigin a fat posse. hell of a show.
natti and i shared a moment before he went on stage… he was standing right next to me and i looked up at him and we just smirked at each other like “go do ure thing man.”
OH… and i think u guys should consider making t-shirts in sizes other than XXXXXXXXL. i’m not that big.

meeting everyone, first of all. you guys are all amazing like I figured you’d be.
smuggling in a bottle of water in the cookie tray.
speaking of cookies, getting an apology from kno.
hanging out at the merch table with chris, dwilli, ankur and friends like we were too cool for school.
having my white ass name in a song. my coworker and I were discussing today how badass that would be to have it as my voicemail greeting. so tone, next time i see you man…
hearing america loves gangsters, and…. well if i was going to start naming songs we’d be here all day.

oh, and the guy at the bar who gives me a mix CD and tells me to listen to it. as I’m paying for my drink he says “yo, can I get a couple dollars for my CD?” I asked him if he was serious, and I was like “this isn’t even your show!” and he said he had to make his money somehow, just like everyone else. I asked him if he even knew who these guys were (CL were on) and he said yeah, but all hesitant like… I threw the CD back on the bar and laughed at him. When I came back later he gave it to me and said I didn’t have to pay him. I don’t even know if I’m going to listen to it.
and for real, fuck those wack ass opening jerks. they ate all my cookies during the qn5 sets. how on earth did they think those were for them? screw those guys. and like, they smelled REALLY bad. dudes behind me were commenting on it too. grosssssss. they looked like all the cs nerds I went to college with. like the weezer looking guy, the guy with the bad fro, the guy wearing the sombrero, and the straight up dirty guy… i was wondering when the lan party was gonna break out.
here’s how the conversation went at the end of their set:
me: get off the stage!
smelly guy: hey, what?
me: i said get off the fucking stage!
smelly guy: uh… why?
me: because I came here to see qn5, and you’re terrible…
smelly guy: (after a pause, emphasis on pause) yo, is your boyfriend a rapper?
smelly guy, into the mic: hey this girl’s got a shirt on up here that says “my boyfriend is a rapper”
crowd: silence, because no one cares
me: fuck yeah, a rapper who can read!
smelly guy: aight this is gonna be our last song
props to the board crew who rocked the stoic look for the entirety of the set. comedy. the best part about it is that they had that annoying dude walking around the stage video taping the crowd, and there’s like 5 of us standing in front who aren’t moving. i personally had my grumpy face on. what the hell were they recording anyway?
but, as bitchy as i was to them, it was partially because they took up so much time, and mostly because they were no good, but overall they were total dicks about it. if i were opening for a group like qn5, i’d be bending over backwards to give them as much time and respect as I could, because it’s not like they would have drawn even half the crowd that was there last night if it was just them. really, if they wouldn’t have been so full of themselves, i probably wouldn’t have been so mean. what’s up with all the selfish opening acts lately? at least okwerdz knows what’s up, even though he could have done a 30 min set and no one would have complained.

Oh yeah, I got that new QN5 shirt: F*CK THE 90’s. I wanted to get a new tonedeff shirt, too, but the sizes they had left were for phayde.
And I finally got my Archetype booklet signed, I forgot to bring that to the last show. Now people can wonder why the hell tonedeff refers to me as “the wizard”... (soce, I don’t want no trouble).
I also got my friend a copy of Archetype. 1 more conversion for chris.
Damn, sounds like you guys had a hell of a time there. The LA show was definitely crazy too. It’s cool that Pretendgirl, Dwili and the other forum heads got a chance to meet each other on some cool shit; that’s what I was hopin’ would happen in LA, but I guess we didn’t exactly communicate enough beforehand, lol.
