Studio Seven has Bad Seed listed as one of the performers, but Session isn’t. I’m assuming they don’t have the correct info. I’ve already had to get tickets lined up for 8 other people. I expect by the time of the show to have at least 10 baby blue newbies to bring along.
Any idea if there’s a flyer floating around for this show? I was thinking of enlisting Mr. Kontrast’s graphic abilities to come up with something. This way I could have something to hand out once school starts up again.

i emailed the promoter’s promotion dept for details about it over a week ago and still have yet to recieve a reply, but DJ Hyphen has been pluggin the tour on his show every week

Yea, Hyphen told me he’s seen nothing in the Seattle area, but he did receive an email about the show. His promotion on the show is all I know that’s been going on. I’m gonna see if Kontrast can’t make a flyer similar to the one used for the Boston show.
yeah fellas…i haven’t seen anything around town, but honestly, it’s not like I’m walking up and down the Ave each day to check or anything. I assume it’s getting some decent promotion from the promoter, but the key for this show is to get the word out to colleges in the area.
I think Res is down in Olympia, but if anyone on this board is in the city and goes to UW, SPU, Seattle U, UPS, BCC, etc., please spread the word on any campus email lists or announcement websites. If there’s a student union you have access to, print out a flyer and post it up in there.
Speaking of which, Res, if you get that Seattle specific flyer, let me know and I’ll plaster it as many places as I can. Like yall said, we’re plugging the show each week, and I’ll try to get the word out to Scene and B-Mello over at KEXP to help if they can as well. I’m also gonna turn up the promo on the show as we get closer to the 27th…
I’ve had my tickets pre-ordered for awhile now. I dunno if this might help the sale of tickets, but the show is listed under the category of Rock on ticketswest.com
Alright, I got this recap since LA and Oakland’s been done already.
For a city that is famous for coffee, Edgar Martinez, and rain, the crowd that showed up to support showed their true colors: baby blue.
</corny>
The crowd was live as fuck...everyone knew the words…everyone was violent…bouncin back and forth into each other and shit…just wylin the fuck out.
Opening act was first and it was this cat named Xperience with this cat McLemore on the wheels. Xperience wasn’t tearing the roof down or anything, but his shit was really sensual…deep thoughts, smart lyricism, and a great stage presence. He may have been rhyming about topics that most wouldn’t be able to rock to, nod their head to, but the crowd was really into it, I was REALLY into it, so I suggest that you guys reading keep your eyes open for him.
This track Xperience and McLemore do together is smooooooth as fuck. These are some cats that won’t sacrifice anything for their message. I respect the fuck out of that considering the fact that they keep the crowd listening *cough*FuckTheAwakeClique*cough*.
Session was up next, and was probably doing ‘the pot’ because he forgot some words to “Get Out My Way” and eventually dropped the track hahaha…Normally, that shit is suicide, but dude really didn’t give a fuck and got right back into the mix. Betta Ask Somebody, Don’t Do It, and I think one other track closed out his set, which, despite the slight mistake got me amped as fuck for the rest of the night.
Pack was next and this guy tore the fucking place down. His performance here was as good as the megashow…and as a matter of fact, all 3 of the west coast shows were Megashow-esque. Ras Kass might be nice and all, but the megashow needs to be a QN5 night.
Pack started off with the 2nd verse of 2004 Rap Up to John Cena’s shit…then ran the table with Spit In The Wind, Forevershine, Click, Clak & Spray, 2006 Rap Preview, Stomp, and much to MY delight, Free-Esta. Stomp was the grimiest I had ever seen it and Free-Esta was just as fresh as the other two times I remember seeing it live. If you fuckers don’t tell your friends-friends-friends to cop WDFMS4 I will personally show up at your door and light a firecracker off in your asses. This man needs the recognition he rightfully deserves.
Tone was next and Pack stayed up on stage during most of the set. Heads Up, Clear Em Out, Heavyweight acapella, Case Closed, Velocity, Issawn, Politics 1st verse and 2nd verse acapella, Pervert, Porcelain(right?), Disappointed, Spanish Song, and probably some other shit my sleep deprived ass can’t remember hahaha. I don’t think I need to tell you guys who raunchy this shit was. Tone and Pack really make it hard for me to stay standing for CunninLynguists hahaha…my back goes out just as Issawn comes on. Tone and Pack got their crowd surf on.
I don’t know how many crowd surfs that gives either of you, but that’s 1 in LA and 1 in Seattle for both of you.
CL is just dirty. No need to tell you how insane this was. 616 Rewind, Love Ain’t, Nothing To Give, Beautiful Girl, The South, Seasons, America Loves Gangsters, What’ll You Do?, Since When?, Hourglass, Hellfire, Mic Like A Memory, Thugged Out Since Cub Scouts and the other tracks i may have forgotten.
Then, EF@mm - Stanley, came out after everyone was done to do Line Drop and FYIRB, which is a fucking treat to be able to see that shit live. Then, after leaving the stage for a second time leaving everyone to think it was over, the giant freestyle started and everyone killed it…the guy dressed like a shamrock hahaha…he was had twice for his all green fit and his hat that said ‘G’. Natti impressed me as a freestyler, first time I think I’ve seen him go off the head and he was pretty damn good.
I wanna thank everyone performing again for 3 great shows and sleep deprivation. You guys were so appreciative for following you guys, but to be honest, I wouldn’t have done it if I wasn’t appreciative of the shit you guys do. It’s only a matter of time until you guys reap the fruits of your labor, and when it happens, I know you guys will be there with all of us fans celebrating.
yeah word, the night…......was….can’t even describe it….........i rolled in from cdn and the trip was worth every penny…..i got some sick footage….. a huge thanks to the qn5 and seattle peeps for making it happen….....have a good time on the rest of the tour and I’LL DEFINATELY make the trip again to check you out. p
Crazy…ass…show. For those who were there, I was the skinny Asian kid going insane (for the most part). I came through with 8 people too!
The best concert I have ever been to. QN5 shows are no joke. I saw Resident Evil there and met Dwili, cool peeps. Didn’t get a chance to talk to them though b/c Session came on as soon as I got there. He ripped it (aside from the slightly forgetten lyrics on one song ).
WATER!!!! YEAH!!!!!
Mr. FM’s set was INTENSE. My first time I have seen this dude perform. His ‘Click, Clak, Spray’ and ‘Stomp’ performances were the highlight of the ENTIRE show IMO (Not to take anything from the other dope acts). I don’t wanna give the details away but….damn that shit was CRAZY! Pack almost fell on my head when he went the crowd surf…I looked down for a moment and barley dodge that shit lol. His item freestyle was nice. He grabbed someone’s glass and said he looked liked ” a [forgotten adjetive] Kanye West.”
Mr. Deff once again came with heat. Him and Pack had a lil choreography during ‘Pervert’. I was crackin’ up. Tone’s dancing during his rapping was hella funny too, including his semi popping on one of his songs (forgot which one). I was going BUCKWILD on ‘Issawn’. I was on the only on the ground during, “tear..this..bitch…down” but I didn’t give a FUCK! He point at my sister and her friend when talking about a threesome. My sister was lil dissapointed (no pun intended) but FUCK HER, she took that shit too seriously.
Right before the CL set, I admit I was gettin’ tired (my endurance is very low). But thier set was so fuckin’ live I still had to force the last amounts of energy out of me. I was so so so so so glad they performed, “What’ll You Do”. It’s one of my favs. During two of the songs, me, my homie, and some random dude were pushing my other homie up HELLA high when he was jumping get mad air lol. I saw Deacon laugh at what we were doing.
After CL I thought it was over so I ran to the merchandise and bought four cds and a ‘White Women Love Us” T-shirt.
Then all of a fuckin sudden I heard, “Line Drop” I was like WTF!!!!! So I went back to vibe with ‘em. Ef@mm did thier thing no DOUBT!
The freestyle session at the end was real fun to watch and a great way to end the show. I feel real proud to be a Qn5 fans and to show the people I brought was a live fuckin’ hip hop show really is…they were all impressed.
Gregory Grammar said:He grabbed someone’s glass and said he looked liked ” a [forgotten adjetive] Kanye West.”
aahaha “a bootleg Kanye West”...that shit was great. Pack killed those freestyles each night…shit was amazing.
Great show in Seattle, here are some pics a friend of mine sent me:
me setting up before the show
Pack in the crowd for the start of “Stomp”
Pack in the crowd during “Stomp”
Tone’s intro on the stage
Who won the Salsa Off?
Tone and Pack crowd surfing…classic
ahaha getting the rock n roll horns up for “wheelchair groupie”
big shout to everyone who came out, especially those I bumped into (ayoooooooooo)...AK, Gregory Grammar, Resident, DWilli (that was really dope of you to come to the LA, Oakland, and Seattle shows man…great job, way to hold it down)....
spread the word and tell everyone who missed the show how great it was…hopefully Seattle can bring back everyone real soon…
qn5 knows it too. seattle held it down so come back.
xperience and macklemore were dope. session did his thing to get people started and pack came in and forced everyone else to get into it. tone and cl finished everyone off.. but revived the crowd with Line Drop and FYIRB.. too bad i had to leave when the freestyles started, but i had work at 6am today.. ill shit nonetheless
i lost my voice and i can barely speak now. too bad i didn’t know what any of you looked like or i would’ve said yo or something.. i was the loner dude (cuz all the people i know are douches) in a brown northface jacket.
but yea.. props to everyone who came out and supported.. i was suprised seeing how many folk there knew the words.. and how many people have razrs.
I lost my voice three days ago and it still ain’t come back. It’s fuckin hard tryin to sell rap merchandise while sounding like a 200-year-old grandfather.
But word, Seattle definitely held shit down. Crowd response was beautiful. Everything about the night went perfectly.

Were you in the middle of the crowd? If so, I saw you, but I wasn’t sure if that was you.
man…you guys are forgetting the fact that Tonedeff called me the Male Version of Little Red Riding hood…
HAHAHAHA
one of the best shows ive ever gone to…..the hypest show ive ever gone to hip hop wise….beats out the Jedi Mind Tricks concerts ive gone to by a long shot
Hahaha…little red riding hood. That shit was hilarious. Welcome to the forums, homie. I was the tall white guy behind you in line that said “Fuck, wrong show.”
I didn’t know Pack could totally get a crowd going like he did. He killed it, and especially when he made fun of my Honda during the freestyle haha.
I drug 3 friends along with me, 2 of which don’t listen to hip-hop, let alone heard of you guys. They all had a blast and were all so giddy on the drive home.
Tone/Pack kept picking on one of them though! (the Asian girl that was up on stage twice).
I would have paid 5 times what I did to see that show, because it was totally worth it. I’m so glad I made the 3 hour drive down from Vancity.
that show fuckin bananas ... I got a chance to see CL at Tommy’s in Seattle in August, and although it was a great show, it definitely wasn’t a true QN5 show like this was. (it was a battle with CL performing at the end for like 45 min) Quick recap ...
so we’re prefunkin at my buddies apt before the show, and before we knew it 8;00 was rollin around, so we head out, thinkin we might show up late, and the other car drives down the street about 2 blocks to the gas station, while i head home to put some shittier shoes on. i grab my shit, and then head to the gas station to meet with the other car so we can all head out together. i pull up to the gas station, dunno where to park, the gas station is small as fuck on some wack corner, and weavin crazy around cars, come to a face off with a huge white van, dude waves me ahead, im like cool, then take another look at the driver of the van, and its fuckin natti. i had doubts for a sec, but then saw deacon in the passenger seat and session in the back, and was like wtf. my bro hops out of the car and heads over to the van, says whats up to everybody.
good shit, we know we’re not late .
get to the venue, cool place. two story with the bar upstairs. so everybody thats 21 (or has a fake id) we all head upstairs to get nice and ready for the show. got a chance to chat with natti and session for a bit. everybody was hittin up the bar except pack and tone. my brother and one of our friends got session a corona and all but forced him to take a shot (or two?). dude claims he stays away from the liquor, so im not sure if this is the reason he messed up a bit on Get Out My Way
show starts, Xperience opens up with McLemore on the boards. He was defintely more laid back, but man, the beats were hot and the dude could spit, I was def impressed. It was nothing to get you hyped for the show, but me and my bros were gettin into it.
kinda near the mid-back at this point, so we push our way forward for the rest of the show. we were front center pretty much. I’m pretty sure I saw DWilli and Resident at the front-right part of the stage(recognized you guys from pics on the board, yes im a luker ). I was wearing a black ball cap and the black PackFM t-shirt, near my girl with the orange top that was all the way in front center for the entire show. gregory im pretty sure i was next to you when you were pushing your buddy up hella high in the air, that shit was funny. my brother said him and some asian guy were going line for line with tone on his faster songs, thinkin it might have been you. he said you guys were trying to keep up, but then tone would look at you and just spit that shit faster (the identity of the technically best mc, guess, but yep its me).
im not gonna go through the whole line up cause i think thats been covered, maybe just a few highlites that really stand out. Session’s set got the crowd (and me particularly) really amped for the rest of the show. Session’s shit bangs and is great to sing along with, perfect to set the level for the rest of the show, dude shouted us out and told us we were drinkin too much cause we were really gettin crazy with his shit. Pack comes up, starts a little laid back w/ his 2004 rapup, and then proceeds to relieve my back and neck of 5 years off my life span. holy fuck, Pack was impressive as hell. dude hassled me after the show sayin that he doesnt even have the black PackFM shirt I was wearin , and I wish I would have chatted with him more and told him how dope of a performance he gave, but I was so exausted all I could really do is nod my head. I would have gotten an autograph but I wear this shirt too much . Free-esta was out of control, Pack pulled 3 ladies up on stage, what a great song. I can’t wait for the fuckin album to drop…
Tone comes on stage ... and well, did his thing. I knew that Pack and Session’s shit were gonna have a lot of energy, but I dont think I was really ready for Tone’s shit. The place was really going crazy by the time he got into Politics. Seeing Case Close and Velocity live was a treat, I got a decent video of one of the verses of Velocity. My girl was really happy to hear Porcelain (and see Tone in general lol). Tones performance was so polished, it was really great to see.
CL comes on with 616 rewind, and I already knew shit was about to be crazy. By this time I was feeling fatigued, but I had no other choice but wile the fuck out, because the music makes me . I’m still feeling sore today, DWilli you’re a fucking champ for going to all those shows, I think I would have passed out from exaustion half way through the 2nd time I saw tone. CL goes through a huge list of songs, fun as hell. CL’s set ends, and EF@mm starts up. Line Drop was dope, and Fuck Your I Rhyme Better tore the place down.
All in all, can’t say enough about the show. I think I’ll end it in a similar fashion as other posters.
