Bitoz is an underaged Hot Topic style pseudo punk/goth club, but I hear that they do have a lot of valid shows there. It’s right there on 4th, on the other side of the street and down a block or few from Rumrunners. Oh, and I’ve only been there once or twice, but from what I remember, it’s kind of small. I don’t know if it’ll fill up, but I won’t be surprised if the crowd is… intimate.
I don’t know about a second floor at Rumrunners, but I’m pretty sure they’ll be playing right there next to the bar. That’s where everyone else plays. It isn’t a dream venue, but I really don’t have any problems with it.
Ahhhh, I wish I knew you guys were playing Bitoz or I would’ve planned my trip back to A-Town accordingly. Whatever, I’m sure the Seattle show will be just as amazing
Quick question to the locals.. is the Bitoz show gonna sell out? I understand tix are only available at the door and there’s like 4 bands/crews opening for CL… a grip of us who are 21+ are hitting up the bars before CL, so we plan on getting there around 10:30pm.. Dr. Gonzo, WaleKilla.. are the chances good that tix will still be available then?
I’m really not sure. I’m telling lots of people to go, but 90% of everyone I speak to is just about the Rumrunners show. I just thought “why risk it?” and I’m gonna stick to drinkin at the 29th event.
Cool. That sounds like a good plan.. I might end up going to both shows since some people who wanna see ‘em can’t make it Sat night… I’m the skinny Indian guy who looks like this, holla if ya see me:
Just got back from the show at Bitoz. The show was bad ass and the crowd was pretty amped!! But when they say all ages they mean ALL AGES!! Shit, there where 12 year old girls trying to rub up against me, I wasn’t having any of that. After a while I just went back and sat next to the merch table and talked with Session. Other then the wannabe fight at the end of the show it was bad ass. Tomorrow night should be a more mature crowd with actual women, so it should be just that much better!!
So ahhh… how bout that opening act?
Naaa, really though- best show I’ve seen. Fuckin ever.
Shit was completely nice until kids wanted to pretend that it was 9th grade. How the fuck does a grown man get into a fight anyway? Whatever… that’s Anchorage trying to compensate again.
What a KICK ASS SHOW. My friends, who were in awe of Tone’s flow, absolutely loved it and are coming to the 2nd show tonight (my girl and her friend actually got up on stage and started dancing). I was surprised at the turnout as the packed house was very rockin’. Beautiful Girl flipped into the Luniz’ “I Got 5 On It” beat was classic.. people went bonkers on that.
Got an opportunity to kick it with Deacon, Kno, Natti, and Tone after the show.. a bunch of great, down to earth cats, and it was really cool to talk to Deacon and Kno for some time.. plenty of pictures with them to boot.. Looking forward to tonight’s show.
Last nights show was bad ass!! The QN5 guys really know how to put on a show!! I took a lot of photos and put them up on a page. A big thanks to Session for inviting me up to the back of the stage to take some photos!! Here is the page and some samples:
Go to http://www.irwindigital.com/QN5 if you want to see more pics, if anyone wants bigger versions of any just PM me with the photo number.
ANOTHER great show by CL & company in Anchorage!! I gotta hand it to you guys, your stage presence is unparalled.. Rumrunners was really rockin’ last night.. Natti is one animated cat. It was nice to run into fellow AK board mem Alaskan (your photos above turned out AWESOME, thanks).. Session recognized me from the pic above and it was real cool to chat with him during Tone’s act.. Session, you gotta my place to crash at anytime you wanna come up to Anchorage mang.
I was actually kinda sad going home after the show. All I did this weekend was sleep, eat, think, and breathe CL.. APOS/Southerunderground/SSV2 was blaring out my speakers everywhere I went.. I was making CDs for friends all day Saturday in prep for the show.. helping my girl get pix up of the shows on her MySpace site.. telling people down in Portland how dope a show the missed if they didn’t make it down to Salem.. And it meant a lot to me to be able to meet Kno, Deacon, Tone, Natti, and Session..
You guys officially made this the best weekend I have had since moving to Anchorage! I’m gonna miss you guys and can’t wait for your next trip up, Anchorage is waiting..
Some of my favorite parts of the show: Kno’s silly-dope freestyles, Tone’s serenade, NattiNattiNatti, Since When, Be Free, Nothing to Give, and Seasons LIVE!!!! AND, how bout the blind fella who was straight gettin’ down right in the middle of the floor.. sick!
“Fuck Bush!” -Kno, live at Rumrunners, AK, ~12:15am
I gotta say, this was the best show I’ve ever seen up here- both as far as stage preformance and crowd participation. For the most part, Alaska has some pretty hard to impress corwds. Shhiiit. Getting 10 to 15 hands up in a crowd this size is pretty good. Having the whole room jumping for 3 straight hours is damn near unheard of up here.
Haha… peace to statements like
“Alaska really does have the best weed ever. If I could smoke with yall, I’d just die… cause the weed’s so damn strong!”
and
“This is rapping! The next time someone comes up here and tries to sing some fuckin Emo Rock, boo that fucker off stage!”
Shit, show looks like it was amazing. I wish I could have planned my trip back up to Anchorage in a way that I could have caught three shows (the Seattle one and the two up in A-Town) but it didn’t work out that way. Atleast the show in Seattle was fucking bananas.
How did the Bitoz show go? I haven’t been there in awhile, but in my experience it was always a bit small and shitty.

Yeah, it’s definitely the best I’ve had in the states. The reason it’s so good is cause they get it from BC. When I moved here to Vancouver last year, I was expecting this super great weed everyone talks about but it’s the same shit we got back in AK!
The Bitoz show was off the chain.. packed house and everyone definitely knew who the fuck CL were.. they rocked the place so hard, water started leaking from the ceiling..

“The sweat started to go up… and then it came back down.”
That wasn’t water, cowboy.
That room was pretty damn hot, and then people started bouncin like they were at a damn concert or something.
Low ceilings and lots of condensation make for sweat falling back down onto the crowd.
But yea, the Bitoz show was kinda fuckin wild. There wsa an encore performance AND a beatbox/freestyle session between Kno, Deacon, and Tone.
As soon as Beautiful Girl started there were lighters and spliff lit up all over the crowd. A kid even made sure to pass his up to Deacon (hence the uncredited quote on AK weed).
On a side note, I just heard that the show at rumrunners was waaaay over capacity and that the bar took in over $10K in drinks on the night!! Thats crazy!!
