SIDESHOW: A Night of Singer/Songwriter Hip Hop is a new forum for established artists & new talent to come together and evolve/break the conventions of what’s expected of Hip Hop artists. The true beauty of Hip Hop lies in its direct expressiveness – honest, confessional, scathing, soulful, spiritual – all qualities that will be highlighted at this event through the use of singing & live instruments fused with the DJ decks. Here, the artist takes true ownership of their words and their work.

This inaugural show will feature Tonedeff, louis logic & J.J. Brown, Substantial & Miz Metro taking the reigns on the evening, with the incomparable J-Zone acting as the Host.

SIDESHOW will be filmed by a professional crew and documented by a still photographer. It will also be the first show at which louis & tonedeff will be performing selections on a baby grand piano in a live venue setting.

Quality New Music On The Way…

You’ve been patient. I’ve been productive. And that’s just the beginning.

While I’ve been extremely busy on a production tip (ie. Pack’s album, Asterisk:Four), I’ve been fairly AWOL on the MC tip for a couple of years now, barring the occasional cameo. But don’t think for a second that your boy Tonedeff has hung up his mic. It’s quite the contrary…I’ve slowly been simmering all this time, cooking up ways to completely fuck your head up once again.

I have more than a couple tricks up my sleeve for 2007 and several plans have been set in motion, beginning with 7 NEW TRACKS featured on Asterisk:Four (Cop It Here) and Domingo’s The Most Underrated CD – BOTH DROPPING 03.13.07. Definitely show love and pick those up, so we can keep pumpin the New Hip Hop around the world.

Welcome back to Auralaria!

We’ve been out of commission for a little over a year and a half, but we’re back with a vengeance with a new a new content-driven layout, downloads, and will be gathering just about every Tonedeff-related piece of information on the internet. We hope you’ll be visiting often, as we’ll be updating the site as much.

Now, take a look around and notice all the new content and the plethora of information available in a neat organized format. It’s basically everything an Auralarian could want, right at your fingertips. You’ll notice a few sections under construction, but rest assured we’re already working to fill them in (especially the galleries and such).
