Final Song Recorded For Sacrifice

Posted Jul 27 2007

Just giving y’all the heads up on Substantial’s upcoming QN5-debut album, Sacrifice.

Well, we just recently recorded a BRAND NEW Extended Famm song called “Sign Language” produced by longtime Substantial collaborator Algorhythm. All you eFamm fan’s know how we like to get down with the concepts and this one definitely does some shit we’re all real proud of, so be sure to pay attention when you hear it for the first time. It’s Pack, Substantial & myself doing what we do best. And of course, the beat is just disgusting.

I’m personally a big fan of Algorhythm’s work. The kid is a fuckin beast and it’s always magical when he and Substantial work together. That’s why I’m happy to say that he’s produced 4 joints total on the new record (+ an interlude). All you hungry MC’s out there who need absolute fire, be sure to put some money in his pocket and hit up his site at: Algorythmusic.com

Co-Executive Producing

It’s been great working on Sacrifice so far, cause I love to collaborate with folks on projects. I always liked to fancy-myself as somewhat of a baby-blue Berry Gordy, because I love to find talent, develop it and shape projects. Granted, I didn’t “find” Substantial, I’ve just been fortunate enough to have met him years ago and am now able to work with him in co-executive producing this album.

For those of you in the know, he’s been working on Sacrifice for a couple years now on and off. So, he had a ton of songs off the bat to work with. Many of them ended up on Sacrificial Lambs (now on iTunes) and a few other spots. But when we decided to release the record via QN5, I was basically able to offer my direct input into the song selection, often citing spots that needed some more work or even producing all new tracks from scratch.

Just a couple tweak mixes left and this record will be on its way to mastering and manufacturing. I love this album and rest assured that it’s coming sooner than you think. :)

Hollerate!
Tone.

PS. Megashow tickets are moving fast, so if you haven’t copped em yet…don’t get stuck at the door, get them at Ticketmaster.com NOW!
