Tonedeff Performs “Pervert” @ Cassiopeia – Berlin, Germany (2.24.08)

I got so much footage from the recent Dirty Acres EuroTour that I don’t even know where to start. I think I’m up to Berlin at this point. Well, here’s a neat video. Honestly, I had no idea this show was even being taped till I saw it online @ RapSkit.de. Luckily for us all, it’s great A/V quality.

Things of Note About This Show

• It was completely sold out (Jeeeeuh!)
• This was our 5th show in a row in Germany.
• Cassiopeia in Berlin is by far one of the most SUFFOCATINGLY HOT venues I’ve ever performed in. (Imagine being Dutch Ovened By Satan).
• There was a 10 year old kid in the audience [as seen here]
• After pulling these girls on stage, I was informed that they were both from NYC and had come out to see this show (Which further drives home my point about NYC shows – people would rather fly to Germany to see a show then in a club with a bunch of screwfaces).
• A brave fan attempted to spit my 2nd verse from “Heavyweight” in the crowd acapella. (I’ll upload that at some point)
• It was really fucking hot. (Written twice for emphasis)
• CunninLynguists bodied their shit as usual. (Cue: “Lynguistics”)
• This was our last show with Hilltop Hoods (great fellas indeed)
• Post-Show we all commemorated this last show with some random ass tequila bottle they ‘found’ behind the bar.
• Everything was closed after the show and we starved.
• We woke up with horrific hangovers. (Apparently extreme heat, dehydration & cheap German tequila don’t mix).

Hooray for Sobreity. Drinking is bad kids. I didn’t start till I was 27. I need to stop desperately.

When we arrived to the hotel next to the Berlin Wall… we got ice grilled by a bar full of apparent Neo-Nazis. After a thorough investigation, we realized they were actually a UK Band of Neo-Skins – which apparently are not neo-Nazi’s. We think.

I feel good knowing that I’ve helped shape a young mind. Watch out ladies.

Overral, a killer show and I was glad to be there with y’all that came out to rock with us.
