Good interviews are tough to come by. The reason I say that, is because I tend to get asked the same questions repeatedly.

Questions I always get asked:
a) How did you get your name?
b) How do you rap so fast?
c) Is KRS-One cool to work with?
d) When does your album come out?

Pack usually gets asked:
a) So, what does FM stand for?
b) What’s your favorite battle you were in?
c) what does FM stand for? (again)
d) When does your album come out?

So, when we did this radio interview on Basementalism Radio with DJ Judge in Boulder, CO before the show we did @ The Fox Theater with CunninLynguists, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the conversation. We hit plenty of topics – so many in fact, that I divided the interview into 2 pieces.

Today’s piece deals with some QN5 history and the current state of physical CD distribution… pretty fresh for all you aspiring masochists like me who, for some reason, think it’s a “good idea” to start a label.
